Yeah sure i'm sure that will happen. /sarcasm

Where I live (NYC) you can find a bunch of PSP games in stores and UMD movies in Circuit City, Game Crazy, Gamestop, and Best Buy.

Stop making up BS.

OK then brainiac, name some high profile exclusives coming out on the PSP after crisis core

How is what I said have anything to do with PSP's library? I was just saying retailers won't stop selling PSP games.

Some of those dumb down playstation games are great, and a few are even better then most DS games. Yes it got owned by the DS, but it doesn't suck, and it probably a lot better then any non nintendo handhelds. Plus it getting better recently.

someof may be great, but they're worthless to anyone who owns a PS2 or PS3, and there are over 100 million out there so i'm guessing that's quite a few people.

I'm fully aware that it isn't completely worthless but Cows need to be put in their place. In the past few days they've turned the PSP into some kind of amazing handheld when it is in reality a second rate ipod wannabe that plays dumbed down PS2 games and has hardly any good exclusives

The piece of crap is pretty much finised after crisi core and cows are still going on about how awesome it is

Given that PSP games sell like crap (Wipeout Pulse sold less than 10k last month) and there's jack squat coming out after crisis core why is such a thing so ahrd to believe?

It's a distant second, it has barely any exclusives and most people who own it are pirates or use it as a cheap ipod substitute

Its not the best handheld out now because its library of games are oversaturated with mediocre ports, the few exclusive original games it has sell poorly, the rest of its 2008 lineup looks horrible, and retailers are about to drop PSP games just like they did UMD Movies.

I think that all counts for something.

Why wouldn't it happen? PSP software sales have gotten steadily worse every month up until this month. Not a single PSP game hit the NPD charts last year. And after the craze of Crisis Core and Chains Of Olympus fades away its going right back into recession (the sales will dissapoint, BTW). Every other part of the country is not as thriving and successful as NYC, and you know that.

Yes, alot of those stores to carry UMD Movies. And the reason they are still there is because they have been sitting on the shelves for a very long time. Just about every studio besides Sony Pictures themselves (in fact, I do think thats the case) has dropped support for the format. Almost never would a person with common sense spend $20 on a UMD Movie when they can get it on DVD for the same price.

And DS fanboys need to realized that it isn't a piece of crap and stop saying it as a fact. But I not going to waste arguing with you.

I must say, a year or two after the PSP came out, I was guilty of this as well. Does the PSP have as broad a library as the DS? No. Does it sometimes try too hard to be a media player, and not a videogame system (PS3 syndrome)? Yes. But you know what? If you've got a taste for some of the classic games, and you wouldn't mind playing the occasional game that feels like it should be on a console (Silent Hill Origins for example), the PSP is a great little system. It's got a decent amount of pick up and play games (Locoroco, Patapon, Lumines, Wipeout), some excellent exclusives (God of War, Crisis Core), a bunch of games that were good enough to port to the PS2 (the GTA games, Silent Hill), and some amazing ports/remakes (FF I, 2, and Tactics, Castlevania, etc.). I'd say there's something for anyone on the system, fanboys aside.
