How did Lost Planet 2 not get GOTY 2010?

Seriously it was the best I played in 2010 and looking back I had a lot of fun in coop.

The gameplay was simple, solid. Sure it had it's flaws like bad AI and terrible level design and overall inconsistency but it's still excellent! It had a bunch of replay value, and it also had great graphics:

Lost Planet 2 is a bad game and bad games can't win GOTY.

You sure thats not an extra zero on there? :lol: 2,000 hrs on a game is a lot, but 20,000 is just ridiculous. I'm not even sure if the game has been out long enough to log that many hours even if you played it 24/7.

I haven't played the game so I cant judge, but if RDR managed to get GOTY 2010 I think anything can. RDR was great! Just not goty material imo.

I very much wanted Lost Planet 2 to be good, but it fell way short on many levels.

I'll agree that the gameplay isn't anything stellar though. I've never really enjoyed the gameplay in Rockstar games. Games like GTA and RDR are impressive technical achievements and that's about it. They can be fun for a while, but I cant keep myself interested in playing for long.

I actually enjoyed LP2. Then again, the game is only bearable if you have 3 friends to co-op with.
