How do people still get excited for Halo?

It's such a boring franchise, Gears is much better. Infinite will be boring as well.

I like both but I enjoy Halo more than Gears. I also like Blinx as well it was a good game.

Halo just happens to be part of my childhood franchise I grew up with the original Xbox, I love Halo and even to this day, I'm way excited for the Master Chief Collection coming to PC! Although however, I do believe series lost it's way when Bungie left MS, they were always on top of making Halo fun to play and Halo Reach to me was the best thing they did since Halo 3. MS giving the series to 343 Industry has been for the most parts good/bad/ugly. Halo 4 had a pretty good campaign but poorly MP and Halo 5 campaign was so disappointing but MP was alot of fun though. I own most of Halo book series, own Halo Legends Blu-Ray, Halo Forward Unto Dawn Blu-Ray & I can also say that Halo Nightfall was crap sadly. If Halo CE didn't release on Xbox, Xbox wouldn't be here without Halo.

Now that MS is bringing Halo series to the PC, I'm totally looking forward to Halo Infinite and see how 343 learned from their experience with the other 2 Halo's they work with.

Halo Infinite will be the first Halo game I skip (except Wars 2) but I'm still curious to see how it is; if it's anywhere near as good as the original trilogy then I may pick it up. I think people are excited cause it's been a long time since the last Halo game and 5 was better than 4 so...

I liked Halo 1 and 3. Hopefully Infinite will be good, but my hopes aren't super high. I think Halo wont ever be the same again without Bungie. It was their baby and they took care of it well. Now that they aren't doing Halo anymore they went on to make Destiny, which is basically a soulless Halo with a crap formula and gameplay. Bungie is just a boring shell without Halo.

But if they manage to give us a good, lenghty and challenging campaign with coop, and a nice MP to go with it and I'm gonna have some fun with Halo with friends again.

If that PC version of Master Chief collection could arrive soon, that'd be nice as well..

Every Xbox 360 fan including myself love the hell out of Halo Reach, so I have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

Really weird, that truth stuff.

Not from what I remember:

Bloom, armour abilities and the removal of 1 - 50 ranking were awful and badly received.

The firefight mode was weaker than the one in ODST

Most of the best maps in rotation were made in forge world so they all looked terrible with every object being grey

The campaign was great though

Story wise? Agreed. Level design wise? You should go back and play Halo 4 cause that game had the most repetitive and shitty level design I've ever seen

Halo on the xbox and 360 was one of my favorite franchise, which i stilll love. But i agree with you OP as for the 347 version of Halo, it seems a bit boring and the new one coming out looks like it will be a Destiny clone :(

I'm not a fan of either, but Gears was nothing but graphics. Halo at least had depth, variety and character.

I enjoyed the story in halo, 5 was messed up storywise im hoping 343 deliver with infinite.

I tried to play Halo 5 multiplayer...but everyone has a tank now.
