How do xbox 360 owners feel about ads?

They don't bother me, but the overall look of the dashboard sort of does. Of course I don't pay $60 for Live, and never plan on doing it (I only have Live right now because I had a bunch of trials that gave me like 75 days for free, and then I got in on the 2 months for $2 thing. Live is pretty much a giant scam, like paying for AOL or something. 2Chalupas

pretty good about it ... actually i never even notice them so if xbox live is riddled with them good job MS on making them unnoticeable

Yeah it felt pretty dirty even paying $2. But I wanted to 100% achievements in Halo Reach and Halo 4 and I'll need time to do it.:lol:

I don't plan on really even having my 360 for long. Although with all the trials and whatnot I have about 3 months worth of live to go, so that should be more than enough.

I got 30 days of live free with my 360. It's nothing special so I don't think I'm gonna renew. I can play online for free with my PS3.

They don't bother me, but if they're putting ads on there charging us for Live is bs.

Its annoying. However, it certainly doesn't bother me as much as a lot of users here. XBL may be a scam, but I enjoy the service.

There are ads everywhere in the world, and have been for a long time. I don't understand the fuss, ads keep costs down.monkeytoes61

If you thought randomly-placed in-game advertisements were annoying, youd better be sitting down for this one. Its come to light that Sony filed a patent that would implement content-suspending advertisements in video games.

As the patent outlines, players would start playing a game and at some point would be given a warning that a commercial was pending. When its time to watch the ad, the game would be paused and the player would have to sit through the commercial. Once its done, the game would resume where it was paused or a point slightly before the ad took over.

PS3 fans hate it more than 360 ones, that's for sure! To be honest, i rarely notice them.

XBL is a scam, the only reason they get away with it is because PS3/PSN sucks so bad.

It's not like we gonna look at a McDonalds ad and go play Skyrim on PS3, I rather have the ad.

PC gaming is a viable alternative but requires alot more time, money and energy.

For now at least 360 remains the only system to play every game that's worth playing wthout having to spend time researching and fixing things.

If not for my 360, my second favorite system is Windows desktop (Steam.)

WiiU is kind of unique and cool.

PS3 is just pointless.

It's stupid and is the reason I have Halo 4 instantly start. I don't even need to navigate to anything else, the 360 only has 1 current game after all.YoshiYogurt

Since I'm paying $60 a year for XBL I shouldn't have to see ads of any kind. I'm going to wait for comparisons on the operating systems when the PS4/Xbox 720 come out. If the PS4 is better I may just not get a Xbox.
