How do you feel about being rewarded for dying in MW2?

Bingo bango bongorewarding someone for dying is like rewarding a kid for getting bad marks in school.

People who are whining about it and saying they're not getting the game because of it were never getting it in the first place.
this. its also not even a big perk for dying. getting someone elses weapons wont help much considering almost everyone will also have them, and a 10 second juggernaut wont stop someone from getting killed if they are bad enough to die 4 or more times in a row in the first place.its just for people who suck at the game so they can at least get a kill and not get pissed off and leave or something

Worst idea ever. 3x health for dying three times in a row? No thank you. I will stick to Arma 2.

Its not 3x health, but its still the nubbest thing ever, and I was ok with martyrdom users (its easy to avoid them, just RUN, and avoid freshly killed bodies). I mean, if someone is going out of his way to kill you multiple times with some nub P90 + juggy combo, I can understand the ability to use his class (although I would prefer no deathstreaks at all of course), but a health boost? If that kid has juggernaut say hello to wildly unbalanced gameplay.
Then again...
On the other side of the argument you have the possibility of one team being really really good, with the deathstreaks option the other team has the ability to fight back and maybe make a close match, and with the extensive testing I imagine IW did, it seems the testers found no problems with it. The health boost is also temporary, so it could find use as an anti spawn camper measure, much like in other games which do the same thing but upon every death.
For the record, I'm mostly against it, but I'm holding my breath until I can experience it first hand.
i feel like this is more of an offset for getting spawn killed alot, like if one team is dominating and camping the spawns.
Not a good idea, but I hate playing MP against a bunch of noobs using the Juggernaut , just to last longer...
It's kind of like Martyrdom in CoD4. I played against this guy who would just walk around holding a stun grenade so when you killed him it would drop and then you'd be stuck in his martyrdom. That perk should not be available, and this new one sounds even worse. This game seems to be spoon feeding the casual gamers. Why should you be giving and advantage for being bad at a game? Take that away and actually force them to get better
I don't like the idea of this but...I'm still getting the game no doubt :)People who are whining about it and saying they're not getting the game because of it were never getting it in the first place.

Here's another one : what if you got more XP for not getting the dying boost in a round? The skilled players would get rewarded more and the camper would still get less of a reward because in modes such as HQ because they aren't helping much...

Players earn tons of XP already. How about an XP penalty for every kill you get using a class that has that death streak selected? :)

I read that it was, and saw a screenshot actually, but perhaps I misinterpreted it. Anyways, that's a fair assessment. I just hate that the game masquerades as a realistic shooter when it is clearly not.
Just like it's publisher, this game reeks of twisted moralities. The may as well reward you for taunting or teabagging. And put in anti-mods also, so that people gets booted or slayed for playing with sportsmanship.
Yeah, CoD4 was so realistic you could fire a Desert Eagle at speeds that would break your arm off and survive 2 shots to the head.
But it is a semi realistic arcade shooter, like a cross between Halo (ultimate arcade) and Rainbow Six (ultimate realism).
1+ for pearl jam refernce! :D[QUOTE="cheese_it"]It's evolution, baby!ps3wizard45
10- for refering Pearl Jam to this
Anyway, I'm not getting it EVER... not gonna support Kotick AT ALL.

Meh, even Rainbow Six has regenerating health, and other trappings of arcade shooters. For a truely realistic shooter check out this...
I think that's almost as bad as losing five times in a Yu-Gi-Oh game (Can't remember which Yu-Gi-Oh game it was) to fight Mokuba Kaiba, Seto Kaiba's little brother.
EDIT: Just found out it was Yu-Gi-Oh Worldwide Edition:Stairway to the Destined Duel on the GBA.
I don't see how this is innovative in anyway. From reading Gamespot's Hints and Cheats page for Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel on the Gameboy Advance, there is an unlockable where if you lose five times, you'll unlock the ability to fight a certain character, Mokuba Kaiba.nintendoboy16Innovation simply means doing something in a different way. This has never been done on a FPS, not that I know of, at least. Yu-Gi-Oh! is not really comparable. In any way.
Not comparable by what genre, no. But the point is how you get something is very similar and not innovative. Maybe for FPS, but certainly not in general.nintendoboy16It's not really comparable. Your case was a requirement to trigger a SP event. We are talking about competitive MP. Seriously, it couldn't be less comparable. :?
Well, for players like myself (who are pretty much bullet-sponges) I think it's great...67gt500
I always thought I was a gernade magnet. I think I lead the game in deaths attributed to random gernade throws,,,

The primary point is losing/dying a certain number of times to get something in return. Meaning, there primarilly really is no difference, despite the fact there are slight differences. why are you so intent on arguing this? its different. mp and sp are totally different things, which means its innovative for mp, like he said. also, that only comes up in a certain section of the game, and this is always in effect, and is more prevalent, cause it will happen at least once every single game.

Okay, it's different. Let's just end this now.
I heard about this, 3x health is waaay to much, maybe 2x health. What happens if you get 7 death streak? call in a helicopter? :P
