How Do You Feel When Someone Steals Your Kill...?

There are no such things as kill stealing. KS/KS'ing = kill secured.

well i can say when i down someone in gears and you have to execute them i do get pissed when somebody steals that kill.

kill assist + suppression assist > kill. in BF3, you enjoy kill assists :DBrunoBRS

Only time it annoys me is if I'm using the Half-Zitoichi (or whatever it's called) in TF2, and the victim is killed before I can use it. Then I'm stuck lugging this big sword around until I get a kill with it. :(

Yeah, it gets on your nerves after awhile, but fact is, you steal other people's kill too with itchy trigger fingers. What bothers me is someone following me with a shotty and waiting for me to weaken them and him going in for the kill with his stupid shot gun. Black Ops did a good job that if you shot a downed opponent you got the assist and the person who downed them got the kill, I liked that a lot.

I think 'Nice someone who actually pays attention and helps.'
Then again I often set up enemies for others to kill. I don't have the best aim, so I like hurting multiple people and letting others finishing them off.
It rarely ever works though because they rarely stick close to me, or help me even if they are.

If you don't like to help people with kills maybe you could try playing FFA. It seems a little silly to play a teambased game and then worry about someone else killing someone before you.

just change it so whomever does the most damage to the target gets the kill

i'm not gonna lie...that **** drives me up the wall. happens to me all the time in battlefield 3 and now in tribes. after doing all the grunt work and whittling down my opponents health to nothing, some dipstick comes out of nowhere one one-shots him getting the kill, leaving me with the lousy assist..

Lol, at least in modern games you get some points for them. Back before kill assists you got squat.

I never gave a crap about losing a kill to another player when I did multiplayer. It's just a game.

If someone steals my kill, I usually hunt them down over the 'net and stalk them for a few weeks before killing them. Then I wear their skin as a coat for a few days.

I suppose, I could just move on and not get too excited but I'm not one to let a challenge pass by :)

It does kinda annoy me a little. Fortunately with Twisted Metal if you do the majority of the damage you still got a lot of points for doing the damage and getting the strong assist.

I do it all the time and it happens to me all the time, but my level of frustration depends on the game.

In a quick kill game like Call of Duty, anyone is equally dangerous as you, so if someone takes your kill they weren't really "taking" it since it only takes like 3 bullets to kill anyways and you couldn't have used more then 2, and if you saw him and didn't kill him right away you were just being risky.

If its a game like Battlefield 3 and I spent 4 rockets on a tank only for one guy to expend a single grenade and blow it all up, I would get pretty angry. Even then though, I'd still get a poop ton of grenade kills, and the danger the tank posed means that I'm just happy it was gone.

So honestly, its never a big deal. You either get the kill or don't, and assists ease the pain of missing a chance. If I get too many though I can get a little mad.
