I definatly come from the school of FPS's on the PC. From back of the days of the first Quake game. I have bought a 360 and I do play FPS games on the console at times..
All I can tell you is from my exerience its not as easy, of course you cant spin around as fast because the mouse is almost instant. But as long as your playing with other console players at least the playing field is fair. I would imagine though if they where pitted against PC players it would be non stop ownage in Multiplayer.
And in the end if I like the multiplayer a ton like Team Fortress 2. I will get it on the PC. But games like Bioshock the controller does just fine

whoa, whoa, no harsh feelings! just wondering, seriously. i mean, i have played UT3 on both a pc and a console, and i had a very hard time adjusting to the analog stick since i've always played the games in the UT series on a pc. it's an incredible skill, playing it on a console! i'm boggled!

You played it on the PS3? If so play it on the 360 just because the PS3s analogues are too close together when I use the PS Controller I always use the D-Pad even for Shooters, but for the 360 I like using the Analogue stick.[QUOTE="life_in_grey"][QUOTE="aliblabla2007"]:| Please, I dislike it when some noob hermit comes along and makes the rest of us good hermits look like arrogant supremacists. Well like the man said.. That's the problem. The PSbrand controllers have never been that good for FPSs. The analog sticks are placed too close together. And the L/R triggers are not molded for that type of Gameplay IMHO. Triggers like those found on the N64, Dreamcase and XB work much better.

hmm, maybe i will try it sometime on the 360 if i ever get the chance, though i won't be expecting a HUGE difference. imho though, kebo/mo combo is still better=P

the K/m combo is always more accurate.. But if you're using the PSbrand controllers it's no wonder you think its hard.
They play with Auto aim and Aim assist making it easier to for people on consoles to aim. crazycolt1234I don't use Aim Assist in Bioshock I didn't Halo 3 I didn't and in Team Fortress 2 and the rest of the Orange Box I didn't use Aim Assist.
How do you play a fps on a PC???
Just from experience that I see with my friends and what I go through everytime a new game comes out what PC owners play is buy a new tecnologically advanced title.
Go home and install it, when it refuses to run go back to the store and buy more RAM, go home dismantle the Pc install the RAM, reboot and reload aforementioned tech wonder new title then watch as it still refuses to work right.
Go back to the store drop some more money on a new video card and anything else it takes to run the new card. Go home dismantle the PC install everything, DL all the new drivers you need from fileplanet, ATI, the Game company that the new game was made by watch as the game finally fires up, spend the next two hours fiddling with the video options to get a stable framerate then not feel like playing it because it's 3 am and you just want to get some sleep.
The next day get on SW and tell everyone how great PC gaming is.

maybe because we don't suck at it ? Playing on a controller is more challening than on a mouse and keyboard but that's a good thing.
cod 4 is fine on ps3
halo 3 is fine because everyone has to use an analog stick.
i don't want to play UT3 on ps3 it seems to be dumbed down

it's also alot slower which is why console gaming leagues are so rare.
i think i'm the only one who likes dual anolog better......
I mean, i can understand how the mouse is more precise, but i just HATE using the keyboard to move. And aiming with the stick isn't too hard...

You know, they do make those "grips" that can substitute the keyboard.
It is so easy, all you have to do is take the controller and play.

His point is that, yes, there is no queation that an analog stick is not even close to as accurate as a mouse. But again, the game makers compensate for this.

Does it mean players wouldn't be competitive against players who uses K&M? I don't think so.
I know it is much slower to aim with a controller, but you can adjust that in the option menu.
