The PC as a gaming system has reasons why it is great, even if it isn't your gaming machine of preference.
The PC gaming users have no right to declare themselves superior humans based on this. It really is facile. Surely, nobody could possibly make such an arrogant claim and be serious about it?

One could argue that because PC gamers spend every bit of money they can to play games with the best experience that makes them better.
Casual gamers won't go out and spend hundreds just to play a game, PC gamers will and do.... They wil spend what ever it takes to run and play a game in the absolute best way hat game can be played.
So surely that makes them more dedicated?
thats complete crap. some PC gamers will do that, some wont.are you telling me that every PC gamer upgrades their card everytime a new game comes out?
some console gamers will spend stupid money. i went and spent £800 on a HDTV just for mass effect on xbox 360.
I've spent thousands on gaming this gen, literally thousands. i've spent about £400 on buying all the skylanders because my son likes them.
everyone is different. there are some PC gamers who wont pay a penny to the devs and will rather pirate, so how does that make them? so dedicated to the hobby that they will steal? wow - hardcore.
you are talking out of your ass.
Yeah. I too cannot accept thatyou could be a 'better' person just by maintaining an enthusiast level gaming PC.
I can accept that maintaining such a PC requires dedication, and some degree of financial backing - but this has no bearing whatsoever on the 'goodness' of the person. And like sts107mat says, just because the platform doesn't have open PCI-E slots, it doesn't mean someone couldn't dump equal cashflow into their console gaming hobby.
