How exactly did the Xbox vs. PS3 bout start?

I always hear people arguing about what's better PS3 or Xbox and I wonder, where did it all start? I personally have a PS3 but that's because most of my friends had it. I don't really think one is better than the other, they both have good exclusives and fun online play, so what's the big deal?Armagadem

people like to argue and they can't argue which system sells more because Wii won that hands down and they can't argue which system has the best looking games because PC wins that hands down...so people are left making qualifying statements and arguing about second place in these topics because those two consoles are so similar.smerlus

uh dude i have already talked to administrators and other people that work for gamespot on a different thread about this. It doesn't matter how fast I level up, like they said it's not a game or a race, I should just enjoy my time on the gamespot website. I didn't know it was so bad hear other peoples opinions. Oh what's that word I''m looking for umm (Democracy cough cough).
