I'd rather shove a keyboard up my buttocks sideways.

Relatively excited. WoW is my favorite game (quit during Cataclysm) with pretty much limitless memories, so I'm looking forward to going back to see if it can rekindle the magic of when I played vanilla the first time.

This will go down as the shining example of why devs should NEVER listen to message board gamers.

Eh I don't need another full time job......

Having played WoW vanilla at launch though I am interested to see what mix of new and old they decided to go with. Is it straight-up vanilla? Or have they included some of the quality of life improvements that were introduced over the years?

I played from launch for about 2 years, then jumped back in and did Legion. I don't feel the need to play any more..... Gimme D4 instead!

It was great fun back then. But it's nothing I want to play in 2019.

Not sure I'd want a Diablo 4 either from the new Blizzard, who first decided to make Diablo cartoony and then a smartphone Diablo. Pretty sure the Blizzard I liked is dead and gone.

I'm done with anything new from Diablo at this point and Diablo 3 is all I'll ever need.

On topic: I'm not even excited to return WoW and I retired back in 2011.

Took them to long. It was all the rage a year or even two year ago and people already got there fix with other servers offering it.

Great for people that still care about wow tho, game died a decade ago for me.

Also game is fundamentally flawed.

They would have been better if they dropped wow entirely and actually made a warcraft 4 on a high budget or world of warcraft 2. But that actually requires money, dedication and talent. Something blizzard does not have anymore.

Yeah, I will give it a spin. I played WoW steadily from release in 2004 through Cataclysm, so a good few years. Then it's been off and on since then, generally popping back in with each new expansion for a few months. I still have an active sub from when Battle for Azeroth was released (a surprisingly good expansion, imo).

I haven't been following WoW Classic too much, but I hope they keep the changes (i.e. "quality of life", streamlining, balance, etc) and just make it essentially the old world of Azeroth before any of the expansions. I am assuming they will make the level cap to 60 again and slow the leveling process down.

Why am I looking forward to it? Because I missed out on the classic WoW end-game content. I was level 49 when Burning Crusade came out, so A.) I was happy I didn't waste time getting gear that was soon outdated, but B.) sad because now it's all about the expansion content and no one will be doing level 60 raids and such.

No clue yet. I used to play a priest, but I'm leaning towards a frost mage or enhacement shaman.

I played from day one all the way up through Legion. There are so many QoL fixes people are forgetting about that it’s going to be comical to hear the complaining the first week.

Popcorn ready!

I quit WoW about two years ago after playing since launch. The game was becoming less and less social. Most of my in game friends just quit. You can literally play the game single player and still experience most end game.

I kinda want to come back for this - but it won’t be the same. My buddies are what made the game fun - not bosses I’ve downed about a hundred times...each.

It will be fun, but wont be able to capture the magic of playing for the first time.

My first mmo was Everquest, and I do play on project 1999, a classic emulated server. While still a lot of fun, there's definitely no risk of it taking over my life. Pretty sure my shaman has been level 57 for over 3 years now.

I imagine vanilla wow will be similar for anyone who played it as their first mmo.
