SO HARDCORE
EXXXXTREEEEEEME!
I've got a PS4, XONE and a reasonably powerful PC as well as an Alienware 13" which I rarely use for gaming. I play nearly all the new releases provided they're not below an 8 or 7 by gamespot/ign standards. I'd call myself an avid gamer but I guess to qualify as hardcore you have to have played some of the older games which were a foundation for which newer games were built upon. Ie. Thief, Deus Ex, Etc. I have all those games in my library but I haven't gotten around to playing them and probably never will...

@adamosmaki: I still have my Nokia N-Gage :P
@nyadc:Only 52 consoles and 1200 games behind :)
I still have a Virtual Boy, but I can only see in red and black.

I also have a Virtual Boy. I also own many boxed Virtual Boy games. Does that give me Hardcore points?

Double points for being boxed!

You get legendary points.
Gaming systems i owned since late 80s:
ZX Spectrum 128K, Nes, Master System, Amiga 500 (the best system of all time), Megadrive, Snes, Playstation, N64, Dreamcast, GB Advance, Playstation 2, Xbox, Xbox 360, 3DS, Playstation 4 and a few PCs in between. Right now, due to lack of time (family, work, etc) i only own a PS4.
Not sure what this means, tho. I'm probably not the most hardcore gamer out there, but i'm certainly not a casual gamer.
I spend a significant amount of my time playing video games and reading about them and enough money on gaming software and hardware to feed several dozen African villages on a yearly basis.
I guess I'm pretty casual.
Used to be into spending massive amounts of time on one game (Resident Evil 4, Ninja Gaiden 2, Final Fantasy XII, Dragon Quest IX) but not anymore.
Owning multiple systems does not make you a badass at video games lol. I thought this thread would be about being dedicated to a game. I'm going to pretend it is so I can puff my chest out and strut like a peacock.
If that is the case then I win that as well.
This is since 2009 when Steam started recording hours logged, I've been playing since 2000 just for perspective.
Old school CS was the best. I started playing in late '99, maybe beta 5.2? I was on a very fast SDSL line at the time and maybe half of people playing were still using dialup. Total bloodbath. Still have a bunch of screenshots from that time, good stuff. Hard to believe there are guys playing CSGO now who were just babies back then. Yikes!
To the question, I don't consider myself very hardcore these days. I'm just too old to care as much as I used to care. I own all of the systems and spent a fair bit of change on games, but just don't get as deep into it them anymore.
