Even Revelations:o

charizard1605

It's better than both Revelations and AC1, and chaz knows it.

I'm assessing each game by when they originally released. The first Assassins Creed game was stunning when it released. It aged terribly, but it was great then. Revelations was more satisfying as an experience. Ironically enough, it provided more closure than Assassins Creed 3 did.

Revelations wasn't very good even when it first came out:| It's the only AC game that I beat and never touched again. And it certainly provided little closure, especially:
Not even explaining Lucy except for it DLC
Not to mention the story was pretty bad, but at leasy Ezio was still a good character.

I was talking more about the Ezio story arc. It ended beautifully and poignantly. And Revelations was awesome. Don't get all the hate, tbh.

That's because the ending of 3 was so terrible and vague, it was clearly a setup for AC4. More milkage is eminent.

Whatever the reason, the ending to 3 sours the entire (already remarkably disappointing) game.

I agree for the most part--the forest setting was great to look at but it hindered the game too much, trying to run around in the brush and rocks. Doing the optional collecting and sidequests became a chore for me to the point I just wanted to finish the story as fast as possible, and when I finally got there it was like... 'are you kidding me?'. It was just so lazy.

Pretty much. The biggest letdown was the urban settings. They were beautifully recreated and incredibly atmospheric, but they lacked the verticality of the previous games in the series. I must add, though, the naval battles were incredible. The highlight of the entire game if you ask me.

Ezio's story was really good (especially the ending) but the actual story just wasn't very good. The setting was boring, the new characters had no personallity (except Yusef), and the Desmond sections were terrible!

I liked the combat and the hook blade, but overall it's my second least favorite AC game, next to the first one.

Okay, yes, the Desmond sections were awful. Along with that whole tower defense thing, what the hell Ubisoft? I still think that narratively, and holistically, actually, Revelations outdid III especially at the time of its release.

It's a good game, but nowhere near as good as the previous games in the series.charizard1605
Even Asscreed 1?
I haven't played it yet, but it would have to be astronomically sh*tty to be worse than that

It isn't as good as the second. Some of the missions are f*cking irritating, and Connor is a bland, unlikable protagonist.

Bigboi500

This is one criticism I don't understand, expecting Connor to be some kind of charming socialite. He's an assassin, not the host of a talk show. If you're not a woman who wants to be seduced by Ezio, why does it matter? Haytham was likeable as far as manners and demeanor, but he was cold killer who made questionable choices and was absolutely untrustworthy and a terrible father figure. I have no idea why some of you guys liked him so much, was it just because he was Caucasian?

yea I dont get it ether. I mean even altier wasint some charming dude. He was a assassin and he only became more social i guess was when he had a family and a bit when he became a leader of the assassins. Ezio grew up a suave dude so that personality transferd to him as a assassin. connor was raised in a different enviorment compared to someone like ezio.

I had fun with it for the first five hours but as soon as the blatant repetition strated setting in I just dropped it

The setting and the atmosphere, along with the super cool concept, kept me engaged.

not really. It was ok at best. The missions were sorta boring and didint add much to doing the actual assassination. Which if im recalling right you had to do the missions in order to start the assasination.

I dont get this complaint. I didint find it horrible. It was a cliffhanger is all. Revelations ending felt better mainly cause it told the end of ezio and atier story. So it was wraping something up.

I'm considering to getting this game at Christmas. I like stealth and the Frontier looks stunning. I have a few questions. I just read Edge review, they said: " There are suprisingly few assassinations and relatively little freedom to plan your approach to them". Is this true ?

PhazonBlazer

There aren't many assassinations but the ones that are there are pretty fun, though not too much freedom. There was one particular assassination that offered alot of freedom though.

Thanks

It's good but not great, just like every other AC game (except for AC1, that game just straight up sucked).

The combat in AC3 is even easier than before, it literally slows down for you. And there is next to nothing to do in the Frontier, aside from rading convoys and the occasional fort attack, it's pretty empty. Naval battles are fun though.

Can't speak of the MP because I didn't play it, I didn't really like the other online modes for past AC games.
