So the only comeback is that I mistyped something?
Nice damage control.

You want to know why you aren't going to start an argument, TC?
1: Your thread is hardly original. We really don't care to post the same thing billions of times like your type seem to.
2: It's a stupid question with an obvious answer. The Wii is "next-gen" because it's the successor to the Gamecube.
3: We've already admitted that the 360 and PS3 win in the graphics department....many, many, many times. We don't exactly see what you want us to say.
4: We pity you. Basing your opinion on a system on graphics. Tsk tsk.
The graphics aren't next gen, the controller has been done on PC's for years ( http://www.gyration.com/en-US )...so how is it next gen?caje47So the graphics aren't next gen for Ps3 or 360 since it has been done on PC for years and better
How is Wii-bashing cool?I know.. It's getting embarrassing for haters...
Give me a serious answer, please.
Silchas
the wii is next gen because the concept of the a pointer/gyroscopic controller has been integrated into games on it plus the fact that the wii has the capability of creating graphics beyond last gen's graphics. also, it is the successor to the last gen gamecube. therefore, it is next gen.

what makes 360 next gen (i mean this gen)? is it that o so new controller? or the wonderful gameplay that couldnt be done on last gen systems? or that small and very entertainment system friendly shape it has? or the online that costs $50 a year? or the microtransactions that EA and Ubisoft and Activision are going to whore out for extra $? which one of these things is it?BigBadButters
what makes it this gen is the
visuals
the online(ill pay 50 $ for this any day)
games that couldnt be done on the older sytems
yes the new controller
new hard drive
and alot more reasons

what makes it this gen is the
visuals - the Wii's visuals top next-gen
the online(ill pay 50 $ for this any day) - The Wii has online
games that couldnt be done on the older sytems - The Wii has games that couldn't be done on the older systems as the graphics are better and the motion sensing has to be implicated
yes the new controller - That's the easiest one to make a comeback at
new hard drive - Oh well, the Wii can store game saves, channels, and VC games in its memory
and alot more reasons - That you either couldn't make up or weren't important
So yeah, the Wii is just as "current-gen" as the 360 and PS3 Which is exactly why I hate this arguement. It's pointless and annoying[QUOTE="BigBadButters"]what makes 360 next gen (i mean this gen)? is it that o so new controller? or the wonderful gameplay that couldnt be done on last gen systems? or that small and very entertainment system friendly shape it has? or the online that costs $50 a year? or the microtransactions that EA and Ubisoft and Activision are going to whore out for extra $? which one of these things is it?wii60ftw-
what makes it this gen is the
visuals which, beleive it or not, will be surpassed by ps3
the online(ill pay 50 $ for this any day)Â Â for the exact same online you got last time? home is better, im sorry to say.
games that couldnt be done on the older sytems  which relates directly to visuals. so you used the same point twice.
yes the new controller with the guide button that all 3 comtrollers have. and they switched the place of the button on the handles which were terribly placed, that feels very uncomfortable compared to the wiimote... right...
new hard drive the original xbox had 50 000+ blocks, more than anyone will EVER need.
and alot more reasons  that you just cant think of? right...

You didn't mistype anything. You just got it all wrong. Just like the countless other people like you that do the same thing on this forum.
It's just stupidity. The fact that you don't realize that the Playstation 3, XBox360, and Wii are all Current Generation consoles.
What's even more stupid is the fact that you didn't learn from other peoples' mistakes even though this happens everyday.
The graphics aren't next gen, the controller has been done on PC's for years ( http://www.gyration.com/en-US )...so how is it next gen?caje47According to your sig, you have NO current-gen systems... why is that?
Let's see last gen Nintendo released the GC, and this gen they released the Wii. Seems pretty current gen to me. :?-RPGamer-

Yup, but I don't think you can sign up for the one I use anymore.

wii was never next gen , nintendo even said it ,wii is "new" gen
A controller alone doesn't make anything ''next gen'', it doesn't even have online yet which is something thats long been capitalised on. Raw power pushes the boundaries of content and creative potential further (I'm not even talking about eye candy). Yeah a good developer can get a lot out of very little but how many of those are around? Its more last-gen than anything but different, often does things better and is more fun to play in general (I've owned one since launch too).tomarlyn
ITS CURRENT GEN WITH 360 and ps3
and Nintendo has done online since nes days

They haven't done online since the NES/SNES days, they tried it but it flopped because it was the wrong time for it (only being able to connect at specific times and requiring a big add-on to do it, come on). Now there's the DS which could do things better (fine for a handheld) but the Wii still lives in the past over this. And it is new gen because Nintendo said so themselves, I'm talking about capabilities over previous generations not system release timeline. Please Log In to post.
