How is the Wii next gen?

The graphics aren't next gen, the controller has been done on PC's for years ( http://www.gyration.com/en-US )...so how is it next gen?caje47
it's nintendo's next generation of gaming console. nexgen doesnt have to mean leaps and bounds better. im not the same generation as my parents or grandparents. im just the next generation in my blood line. so that could justify it for the big N.

So the graphics aren't next gen for Ps3 or 360 since it has been done on PC for years and better :roll:



Learn to read. I said the controller has been done on PC, not the graphics.

You didn't mistype anything. You just got it all wrong. Just like the countless other people like you that do the same thing on this forum.

It's just stupidity. The fact that you don't realize that the Playstation 3, XBox360, and Wii are all Current Generation consoles.

What's even more stupid is the fact that you didn't learn from other peoples' mistakes even though this happens everyday.


PS3 still isn't out everywhere, so it can still be considered as next gen. Next time you troll, might want to try harder.


Also, people don't realize that I'm not bashing the Wii. I'm just saying that it's not "current gen" (so I don't get continuously harassed by damage controlling sheep).

Since when does new equat to next gen? What's new on the 360 controller? It's had analog control which has been on the N64 two gens ago. What else is new? Buttons? Been there, done that. Triggers? Last gen... Guid button? PSP had the "home" button idea too. What's new on the 360? Powerful compared to Xbox? No way, that's original! :roll: Oh wait Wii is more powerful than GC, and like all next gen consoles, they have the same standard upgrade. What makes Wii next gen, or as Ninty calls it "new gen" is really the fact that the system is a successor to it's predesscor.Are you not the next generation in your family of your mom and dad? Wii's a next generation console of Nintendo's family of systems. Simple as that.
