As long as someone doesn't come out with a bigger dude-bro fad, then CoD will keep going indefinitely.
Until it becomes uncool. New generations of bro gamers will always be there.tagyhaglol "new generations of bro gamers." It's going to keep going just like how Madden keeps going every year.
Wait, I know. When world peace takes finially happens. Eventually people will notice that the newer COD games (story wise) are just re-makes of the older versons. Unless ofcourse, COD goes.... Midevil:shock:
Call of Duty has been released yearly since 2005. I don't see a crash coming soon unless Activision pulls A Guitar Hero kind of fail.

Well, there is a viable reason to yearly sports games as there is a yearly crowned champion, MVP, roster moves, rookies, etc. I believe the audience for COD will be there but those playing it because it is the in thing will move to the new in thing, imo.
Look at Madden, minor updates yearly have seen that game through nearly 15 years. I don't see Call of Duty being too different, there is always going to be some imaginary bad guy to kill in some desert/jungle/city.
I think it's peaked so it's only a matter of time before it starts to spiral downward. It will be a slow spiral but it will eventually die...
I've lost track of how many games GH has. Didn't they start making more than one a year?As long as they dont milk it milk it like GH, it`ll last till 2014 or 13.

I think it is reasonable to suggest that COD sales will at least temporarily dip as the next generation of consoles come out. If you think about it a decent part of their audience is casual and they won't all be running out to immediately buy the next gaming consoles.
I think 3-4 years. MW3 will do as well as BO, and the next title or two will hold strong, but Activision's strategy won't hold long into the next generation I think. It will take a while, but it will start puttering out.

Yep I think by the time we see COD 10 or w/e that iteration happens to be called it will be slowing down. So at this rate that will be 2013 or 2014. I think MW3 as well as the one or two after that will indeed sell well MW3 will definitely break BO record, but eventually they will die.
If Respawn Ent wins their lawsuit they will block Activision from making any more Modern Warfare games. So if Respawn wins, they will make MW3 if they even choose too, and then it wont be out until 2013-14 at the earliest, if Activision wins the lawsuit MW3 will more than likely come out in 2012 and will be made by a half assed dev team hired to fill the 90% of Infinity Ward that left and are now working at Respawn Ent.
With all the major problems with the last 2 titles I can see the decline starting with this years release. MW2 and BlOP's left a pretty bad taste in a lot of gamers mouths. I don't think Sledge Hammer will do a decent job this year look how much Treyarch struggled, does anyone think a no name dev company will make any real improvements to this years next installment??? IW is long gone the most talented of the group jumpship because of all the crap that went on. Look for a major decline to start this year...
