They sorta have a Wii U alternative with the Vita/PS3. The setup will likely cost more than a Wii U(when the price is announced), but it's still there for people who have both systems.

Hopefully never. They all steal from each other, however the thing about Sony is that they take an idea and make it better than the orgional. Dual Shock? Took the analog stick from N64. But added a second stick, and today is now the industry standard.

I wish Nintendo would copy other people more often though, they have crap online and carp hardware, seriously copy the competition some and get with the times.
