Got it the first summer of its release. But to be fair I didn't pull it out until Gears of War. Regardless of which the system is still working flawlessly. Magic Cylinders FTW. (They are at the bottom of the 360)

Probably a million of these, but guess what. I've went through6. This is from the release of the console to now. I play both a PS3 and and an XBOX 360 (which is at my brothers house) and I have to say the XBOX 360 is by far the most fragile system.Comments? Comebacks? I doubt it because IMO, I can guarantee that over half of the XBOX community (including my brother) are still turning their 360's in. God I wish m$ would care about hardware quality.

The failure rate is 33% i believe, if most of you are telling the truth that should make the failure rate more then half lol, anyways i wonder how much this has helped 360 sales? im a sony fan i had to buy a 2nd ps2 after the first one was having the dreaded DRE problems. anyways, this actually prevented me from buying a 360, and from of the stories in this topic im glad i didnt.....

same here and i bought my glory(360) 11/22/05 and it still works like a champ....plus 3 year warrenty FTW!!! cows how long does sony have ur back???

Do you think Microsoft is extending the warranty out of the kindness of their heart? Could you imagine the uproar if they were giving out the faulty hardware and only gave the consumers a one year warranty? Nintendo and Sony don't need extended warranties, because the PS3 and Wii were built to last longer than a year.
