yeah if you avg the scores for the Halo series (including Halo 2 PC) its 8.9

yeah if you avg the scores for the Halo series (including Halo 2 PC) its 8.9
You shouldn't average scores, just see if the games are AAA or not. If there's one in the franchise not AAA, it's not a real AAA franchise :|

Don't count GoW: CoO, thats a spin-off. As well as GTA PSP spin-offs. I'm sure I can think of a FF game (that isn't a spin-off), that did not get AAA here. GOW and GTA are AAA franchises.

But to consider it a franchise it would have to be a different game using the Halo name which it wasn't. Chains of Olympus and Liberty City Stores are examples of franchises.
And what made Halo 2 on Xbox a quality title may not have been true for the PC version.

Not at GS. But even the non PS versions of MGS rocked, its hard not to brand the series as anything less than spectactular in terms of scope. hongkingkong
Yes but taking an average of the series doesn't really put into perspective of the impact that each game has had. I mean, they didn't release all at once so why average them as though they did? Not saying they do/don't deserve their respective scores though.
Averaging them is, in essence, calling them equal to one another. We all know Halo 3's gameplay is greater than Halo CEs. Half-Life 2's is greater than Half-Lifes. Combining the scores is essentially saying they're all eqaul. At least, thats the way I see it.

Having played Snake Eater, I agree(Thats coming from a non-fan of the series). There are more games that deserve AAA than there are AAA games IMO. Don't get me started on the '10' ratings on this site.
