How many Console Wars generations have you witnessed?

SNES Vs Genesis/Megadrive was the first true console war, the NES and 2600 were dominant in in their respective eras and nobody really cared enough to argue about it.

The original war was probably the most fun too, partly because I was young enough to care, and partly because the war was fought on the streets and schoolyards not over the internet. Both factions had their own specialist press, their own mascots and their own identity, it was far more fun than counting pixels in multiplat comparisons.

Also, Blast Processing > Mode 7, come at me bro!

Five,I started gaming in the late 80s with the NES and SMS

31 years old first system was the atari 2600 so I started in the 2nd generation.

I've played games since the amiga days and the first console war well i wouldnt say it was a war but the snes vs mega drive. i've been reading and watching these forums since around 1999 i think my memory isn't amazing that far back lol,

I started playing in the 8-bit days, and I remember it vividly. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you are modest, and have an extremely capable brain. 

I've been a multi-system owner my whole life, and I've always had friends that were multi-system owners.

It wasn't until this generation that I ever experienced the fanboy culture, and I must say Playstation fanboys honestly make me fear for the future of gaming. Their stupidity is just that extreme.

I do remember one time in middle school someone thought I was lame for liking Super Smash Bros Melee over Grand Theft Auto, but that was about my only experience with a Playstation fanboy in my whole life prior to System Wars, and it didn't really phase me that much. 

Fanboys must just be getting worse with each generation... Probably has something to do with the internet :P
