[QUOTE="dobzilian"]I'm moving to PC. In the long run it will work out cheaper and more gamezzz.Gargus
Not really.
Youll have to spend more to get a decent gaming rig. I bought my 360 like 8 years ago and it still plays every single 360 game, while an 8 year old PC cant run newer games so upgrading it is required. So you lose money on the hardware.
Games on PC are also more expensive. Take any major title out right now that is cross platform, the console versions sold it in stores quite often have sales at launch or a store will offer a gift card or whatnot while most PC games do not get that. Console games also drop in price much faster like skyrim legendary edition is 60 dollars on steam but you can get it for ps3 on amazon now for 40 and when its 30 on ps3 it will still be 60 on steam.
You can also trade and sell console games giving you value, while PC games you can not sell or trade.
Sure the PC has more games, but the majority of the games are just little crap indie games that really arent very good. For every minecraft you get, you get 200 leviathan warships and zeno clash games. So just because you get more doesnt mean its better. At least with a console you get bad games but you also get a good steady stream of good ones, not to mention a lot of the really good games on PC are cross platform on consoles as well and with the higher horse power of new consoles that trend will continue more so. Then you have the indie scene invading consoles so a lot of PC exclusive indie titles are and have been coming to consoles as well.
So in the end you will lose a substantial amount of money going just for the PC and all you will inherit is a much larger library of crap games.
There is nothing wrong with using a PC, but when you "move to PC" you just limit and screw yourself in the end.
Way i'm looking at it is. No online fee's, Free content, Steam sales, multiple uses, Can use keyboard / mouse my 360 controllers, My Wiimote / nunchuck, Exclusives i'd actually purchase, multi platform games are released upon it unlike the WiiU. I can upgrade when i want to rather than when MS and Sony say so.
