15ish on average. This year I bought, let me see, 8 games for the PS3, 1 game for the 3DS,2 games for the wii, and 2 games for the DS, oh and 1 game for the PC.
So that makes 14 for the year.
Down quite a bit since the 360 stopped releasing exclusives. Heil68
I'm glad to see you never stop. ;)
I usually invest in around 10 games a year. I mean, PS3 releases so many exlusives annualy, hard to keep up. Oh...and yeah, multiplat here and there.
More the 10 usually.
A few in the first quarter, a few more in spring, some in the summer, then when Fall comes out I get the most.
I tend to get a lot of older titles for Summer, during Steam sales and at Gamestop for the Summer droughts.
If we ONLY count games that came out on said year, then maybe less then 10, just maybe.
Last year I got Mass Effect 2 PS3, LittleBigPlanet 2, Killzone 3, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, Batman: Arkham City, Portal 2, Gears of War 3, Dead Island, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. So exactly 10, not counting all the titles I rented (like Bulletstorm).
Though I had a few of those as presents, so maybe like 7 I actually buy.
I only bought 2 games last year. (Skyrim and Super Street Fighter 4 arcade edition) I don't really have a need for more games. I have over 70 games on my steam list and about 15 other boxed games. I'm content for now. I plan on buying a few more this year (Mass Effect 3, Bioshock infinite and CS GO) but I have better things to spend my money on besides games.
Full retail games? About 3 or 4 per year.
I usually only buy non-linear games packed with content, and rent linear games with 6-15 hour single player campaigns.
But this year, things look like they may be different.
Buy:
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Mass Effect 3
Starhawk
Dragon's Crown
Grand Theft Auto V
Dragon's Dogma
Rent:
Bioshock Infinite
The Last of Us
Max Payne 3
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time
Hitman: Absolution
The Last Guardian
Ninja Gaiden 3
Prey 2
DMC
Holy moly. Are you guys collectors? Or do you like to replay your games?
I usually only get 1 or 2 games a year.
There are so many games that I wanna play, but I know I'll only play them for a few days (considering how short campaigns are these days), so I just rent all my games.
The only games I buy are games with a lotttt of hours (Long RPGs).
More like Super Cheap PC Games. XDHoly moly. Are you guys collectors? Or do you like to replay your games?

it was 4-6 before i got a part time job, and being a college kid with nothing to pay for expect car stuff i buy probably 10+ now.
On average every year between 150-200 for multiple systems. 95% New Games.FlamesOfGreyI want what he's having.
How on Earth do you afford both the money to acquire them and the time to play them?
pretty much around 18 games per year.
I Really love gaming as a whole ^^ a healthy amount, which usually amounts to something like 12 games a year for pc (one new game per month, altho I sometimes buy a good chunk of them at the steam summer and x-mas sales.
In addition I tend to buy around 6 console games per yeah, or 1game every 2 months.
Ive laid my portable gaming on ice for a whileso no games for those.
Last year i bought a lot, mostly because i have a job, but its died down a lot since i've got other commitments this year like 2 music festivals and the dire need for a Hartke LH500 w HyDrive cabs.
Probably about 100, but only imports from the glorious Eastern race. None of this McDonalds game western rubbish that primitive people play.

Well then I no longer have respect for Sonic 2. And what is Forza? That limited GT imitation? I'd rather play the original GT than suffer through a pitiful happy meal imitation.

More like you know I'm right and you have no counter argument. Typical.

Outscored GT..check
Has actual decent damage modelling..check
Actually doesnt have bout 60 diffrent variants of 1 car which is completely uneccesary..check
Better campaign/single player..check
Didnt nerf the Top gear portion of the game to the most basic form imaginable..check
All cars fully modelled..check
Better online functionality...definately.

1. Primitive western taste. GT is too complex for the ocean of casuals.
2. PD only does perfection. We are a long ways from realistic damage physics so why bother?
3. Some of us enjoy CONTENT.
4. Again, maybe for casuals.
5. Maybe you should actually play it.
6. Premium cars.
7. Opinion.
