How many games a year do you buy on average?

played near enough 100h of GT5 and have setup at least 6 cars for drift,drag and the ring , far from the casual racer as you can get so dont even attempt calling me casual.

wouldnt call res'd up PS2 cars perfection just more filler and no killer.

Having 60 diffrent skylines with minor trim diffrences is seen as worthy content? dont think so, thats just the ultimate lets pad our car list to make it seem like we have more.

An actual single player thats fun to play and well thought out unlike GT mode which has aged horribly.

A whole 200 cars, Forza 4 has near enough 400-500 fully modelled cars interior and exterior.

7. Opinion.

GT5 was a shambled for near enough the first month at launch its only really started working.

Probably around 50 games a year or so. About half are DD and brand new retail games and the other half are used.

Probably something around 10, but 70~80% are steam sales of either old games or promotions and downloadable titles.

When this gen started less then 10 a year. Around 09 I started to buy over 10 a year.

I don't play much.

It depends some years I only get four games all year.

But last year and the year before I had more then 10 games.

Over the past 12 months, I bought 9 games plus 4 more I received as presents. Between work, classes, and family, I barely have time to play and finish them all.

Also: I don't count the games I bought for my kid which is easily double of mine.

Too many since I've barely scratched the surface of Skyrim and although many, many, many hours of Forza 4 there remains so much left to do and yesterday on impulse I picked up a cheap copy of SC:Conviction not to mention many other games I have yet to fully complete. :cry: :P

last year I only bought 2 full price games, and I pre ordered both. But, I did buy alot of cheaper games :P Maybe 20 other games, I bought the indie bundle. Great games.

That has a lot more to do with Steam than anything though since I bought a crap load of older, cheaper games.

Over 10, now that we'r in 2012 i expect many of last year's games to go down at least 50% :D, excited, already picked up my first 2012 game Resistance 3 50% less. waiting on price drops is awesome

I don't play games as much as I used to, yet I buy more games. You just gotta shop smart. It is a very very very rare occasion where I buy a full priced games. Price drops come fast--or amazon has sales regularly--so it makes things easier. Heck, I waited a month to get Uncharted 3 because I just knew that the black friday craze would blow the price down to $30, and it did.

You really have to put some parameters for this poll to work.

If you allow for every pissant indie game and app to count as a "game" you're going to get these ridiculous numbers, or if you allow for older games to count (since you can pick up a ridiculous amount of PC games for under $5, as well as older console games for < $1).

If you made it "new games in 20XX" you'd get a more interesting/consistent gauge.

But yeah, if I could count back when I was collecting NES games I could be all "I BOUGHT 50 GAMES IN A DAY!!!!!!"

6-8 a year might go down this year

Agreed, i dont buy games day 1 anymore unless their pretty rare or cant wait to play them, amazon is a great place to get new games at a cheap price agreed.

Resisitance 3 seem to be killing it out there at amazon, its been on the top 5 for a week now since its 50% down in price at amazon only

I only buy 2 or 3 games that come out said year.

I mostly buy older games. This year I'll be playing a lot of last year's releases when they come down in price.

Probably about 10 to 15 total.

Last year? A couple hundred at least, taking advantage of steam sales and bundles. Normally? 25ish.
