Super Mario galaxy was the worst mario game to date, and extremely repetitive, so no. Brawl was a rehash with nothing groundbreaking, so no.NinjaSkills247
If by being the best of the 3d Mario games you mean worst then sure. And considering the game rarely repeated the same ideas twice and the few times it did it was much tougher the second time then how is it repetitive?
This is what I love about SW. Its soooo easy to tell when a hater hasn't even played the game they hate on. One of the big praises SMG tends to get is how varied the objectives were. It actually annoyed me at times since they would have such great ideas and only use them once.
As for Brawl I can agree. Same old song with a bunch of new content and minor tweaks. Still a good game though.
SMG, it's up there. Brawl, most likely not but a case could be made if you're only comparing multi-player games. Brawl does however win the greatest Soundtrack of any game ever ranking
Brawl and MKWii are slight upgrades from their GC brethren, so I dont think they are anything special, SMG was a great game but not up to MGS4, GTA4, GeOW status IMO. My favortie Wii game is actually MP3
Super Mario Galaxy is by far and away the best game of this generation. Brawl is an awesome game, but I can think of five games right off the top of my head that are better, and I'm sure I can come up with more.
Super Mario Galaxy is definitely a top three this generation but not number one in my opinion. There are games that I find more enjoyable than SMG. As for Brawl it is a fun game while it lasted but it is not up there with the other games for top honor.
This generation has so much awesome! I wanted to say no and stuff, but what does it matter.... Maybe You'd place them at 1 and 2, or 15 and 20, they are still no-brainers.

Maybe if you open your little mind and realize that not everyone's taste in video games conforms to those of gamespot's or gameranking's, you will realize that just because a particular game gets a very good (and in SMG's case a VERY overrated) review/praise, it will NOT mean that EVERYONE will LOVE it.

Many respected gamers here, 360 only or those like myself that are multi console owners ( me 360/Wii ),would and have agreed - the others pffft. what do they know. :P
Gen isn't over. And the best of PC, PS3 and 360 are around the corner. Personally I'm set on Dawn of War 2, Sc2 and Empire total war being the best games of the gen :)
