How many people here actually like Modern Warfare 2?

With the amount of hate this game seems to genrate, justified or not, one wonders how many people actually likes it or atleast thinks the game is alright.

If you think the game is flawed in someway how would you improveit?

Haters just hate it because it's popular to hate it. It's a good game. It has a 94 on metacritic, that's better than BC2.

I enjoy it...playing Search & Destroy with friends is amazing, it's tactical and intense.

SP is ok, MP is rubbish due to bad design.

I like it when i play with friends and have fun.

I thought the SP was pretty good (although I thought it was BS that they couldn't make it longer due to "ruining the story"), MP was alright and Spec-Ops was decent, much better if it was 4 player.

I don't like it because I hate how MP is designed and the SP wasn't very good, either. Although, I'm going to admit, I do enjoy spec ops a bit.

lets see MW2 got better reviews but BC is better??????? No MW2 PWNS!!!!!!!!!!!

I own it but do not intend on ever playing it again. The MP is broken, Spec Ops is boring (aside from a handful of missions), and the SP made no sense at all, plus it was extremely short

Eh that's generally the case in these type of shooters but normally they don't have killstreak rewards in them so it creates an imbalance due to play styles.

I LOVE IT!! Loved the Single player and Spec Ops, Loved the characters, Price, Soap, Roach, Ghost, Nikolai ...and even Shepherd, I love it, I even loved Hans Zimmer's Soundtrack, ...but Haters gon' hate,

What kind of insane logic is that? They could give Modern Warfare 2 a freaking 11/10 and that still wouldn't be proof.

That's about as legitimate as saying "most sites gave Super Smash Borthers Brawl a 9/10, so they must have only ever played Wii games."

No I'm not saying camping is wrong or something what I'm saying is it's REWARDED, while running and gunning isn't.

Right. They don't agree with you so they're obviously noobs. Very mature.

Imo, the game is alright not better than COD4. But if IW were to tweak a few things, I think it would be better. I think they should limit the amount of air support and noobtube to one. and scrap the heartbeat sensors entirely from the game because it ruins Hardcore Search & Destroy and to a lesser extent other modes.

The thing is, if you camp your only hurting yourself. It's not fun at all, I always run and gun.

played with some guys(and girls) a couple times and it seemed like a lot of fun. My nephew and some other friends just loveMW2 and play it quite often.

it's an alright game the Spec Ops and multiplayer is good but the single player BBC 2 is much better imo

I won't lie.

I liked it, just not real crazy about the airport scene. Could've really done without that, and didn't know it was in there until too late. Turns out that was the scene I could've skipped.

Its good but flawed. A single player where the story is all jammed together in length that is somehow even shorter then the first one and provides zero challenge. I had more problems with the snow mobile on veteran then i did on the shooting itself....

I like it, but I don't actually love it to the point that a lot of other gamers do. It has a lot of things going for it for someone not to like it. Coop online, addictive multiplayer, great campaign(although rather short), and fantastic graphics. I have some friends on Live that are on that game all day long. From sun up to sun down I can log on to LIve and see them playing that game, and only that game. Not me. While I like it, I'm not in love with it like a lot of gamers.

I think it's a great game, underrated by GS, overrated by the general public. MP can be fun, albeit uneven, campaign was great fun, though it was short, and I really enjoyed the Spec Ops.

I actually like it, but i barely play it anymore. The MP is fun for a while, but the way you earn upgrades and stuff makes me want to stop playing. The single player is one of the best i have ever played (but not as good as HL2) because of its intensity and atmosphere.

It gets way more hate than it should get. I pretty above average game i think.

I wish more people would state whether they're talking about their opinions of the multiplayer or campaign. I'm on XBL silver and still think COD 4 is one of the best FPS's I've ever played

Yea this. i don't think its an amazing game, it was probably a tad over reviewed. But I do think its a good game, if not "FPS pErFeCTiON OMFG". Campaign, while short, was very intense and varied, spec ops are one of the better features to a tried and true formula like CoD in a long time (since maybe Halo 3's forge/theater). MP has its flaws... but on the whole is very very good. I just can't stop playing it. the unlock system is the best I've seen (you are rewarded with new stuff constantly, yet you the lvl 1 vs lvl 70 tenth prestige difference in power isn't that huge...) the unlocks are well balanced in terms of when you get what guns. you start out right away with some very very powerful guns (Ump is likely the best SMG, Famas is rly good), soon unlock some more power weapons (ScarH for instance), then during the middle you continue to unlock some other power weapons (The imba M16, Aug HBar best LMG, and finally ACR) before ending with a few of the best weapons (pre nerf Model 1887's and AK47). And those are just the best guns in the game imo (and ofc you start out with the best snipers). you constantly unlock camos, titles, and callsigns.

Noob toobs are prettty dumb (sometimes in Ground War if I'm having a bad day I'll take out my spite for the world by using them... its just dumb how with that you easily get 1/2 your kills from just knowledge of "They're probably over there, ppl tend to go there" rather than actually seeing them xD The "bullet" lag where your behind cover but then sorta move back 1/2 a second in time to being shot out of cover sucks, but you get used to it. it has some flaws, and it isn't the OMG BEST GAME EVER MADE, but it is a very good game.

I don't see how the game is good at all. But that's just my opinion. I honestly don't care whether someone likes it, but it was overrated.
