I played some arcade and PC games a year before I really got into major gaming.
My first console was the Sega Master System II
From there on end I've had every major console and portable from Nintendo,Sega, Sony and Microsoft.
Been gaming since the Master System. Only had a few games for it though. Mega Drive was the first one where I really got in to gaming I guess. I think the only games I had on the Master System were Alex Kidd, Teddy Boy, Quartet, Sonic 1 and 2, Astro Warrior, Choplifter and Tennis. Wow now that I think about it that's more games than I thought I had. Fond memories of the Master System. Good times.
burgeg
Master System or Master System II since you mentioned Alex Kidd -In miracle world?
I started pre-N64 with a SNES, NES, Genesis, and Gameboy.
I began PC gaming with Rayman when that came out on PC a super long time ago

I'm assuming you meant "started." Atari 2600 was my starting point.TheMoreYouOwnMe too... i started arguing games at the launch of the genesis and relized it was pretty fun to talk games with people. Of course iwas an eighth grader. Funny im still arguing with eighth graders. Haha.
[QUOTE="dotWithShoes"]Been gaming for about 25 years now.. Adventure on the Atari is still one of my favorites to this day. The game Journey is one of the big reasons I am a fan of the band today. TheMoreYouOwn
Adventure was great. Did you ever find that little "credits dot" that the development crew threw in there?
never could find it myself. suprising I'm sure, the game actually scared me. Those dragons were evil. That game needs a HD remake :)The first game I rememeber playing was missle command on Atari 2600. I also remember playing games on the Apple II E, like Oregon Trail.
I hate to admit it but my first console when I was a kid was a Magnavox Odyssey. My first true console that I owned was a Sears version of the Atari 2600 I got for graduating High School. So I've been gaming, and walking the earth for a while now.
Hey last gen wouldn't of been a bad time to get started gaming. I myself been gaming since the Odyssey days when i was a child. PS2 and its library alone makes last gen a great gaming gen.
I officially started in '91 when I was two. Strong memories of playing Super Mario Bros. 2 and Dragon Quest (the latter of which I knew nothing about, obviously). Became as essential to me as bread and water, and started collecting and criticizing as early as 2006.
