How many shooting games can you guys play before you get bored...

Ive been bored with gaming for a few years now...just made another account on this website to see whats going on with new games and such...and every single one is just another shooting game...

shooting game after shooting game after shooting game...for like the past 5-10 years....

seriously...how can you guys still be hyped for these? The reason graphics are hyped so much is cuz thats the only damn thing thats changing about games at all omg..

Well I play different types of games. So its fun again when I get back into it.

I still enjoy shooting games. I don't know why I don't get bored of them, I just don't.

Just like i've been playing NHL games consistently since 2006 and I still love them.

I am a bit bored of them, I don't think I played any this year unless except Arma 2.

Although I wouldn't mind playing more of them, but it's just that there are other games in which I am more interested in

depends on the game, IE I get bored of mp shooting games like COD and L4D fairly fast, butI can play games like halos campaign, borderlands and Killzone 2 for hours on end.

What are those shooting games you played? Because the ones I play are quite different from one another.

At least 5 before I move on to another genre. My sig is proof too.

Play different genres? When you walk into Gamestop/EBGames/BestBuy... do you only see FPS games? Sounds messed up to me and im sure many others. The gaming industry has thrived on many levels, be it FPS/RPG/RTS/Platformers... not just your narrow minded view of the industry. So when im jumping on heads in NSMB, passing chumps in Forza 3/GTR EVO/GT5p, chopping bad guys in Dragon Age, assassinating guys in AC2, coordinating in Fat Princess, Flying in Flower, playn sports games... i'm shooting? doesnt sound right

Im already bored of generic shooting games. My last one was RE5, only bought it cause it has RE in the title. Wont be buying anymore of themthis gen.

Never, heck I been playing CS S for 5 years now and still play it regulary, and before source I played 1.6 for about 2 years.

This gen: 4. Started with R:FoM, then CoD4, then R2, then KZ2. Once I realized all I was playing was FPS, I decided to take a break from them. Bad Company 2 will probably be my next

I'm currently playing Beneath a Steel Sky on the iphone. Adventure games are a good break from fast paced games.

I got burnt out on shooters after playing counter-strike and Battlefield for a couple years. I'll pick up a shooter once in a while but yea they make too many of them. I want to see more 2d fighting games and platformers.

My gaming library is pretty bloated with shooter titles, but each of them manage to be unique enough to keep the experience fresh for me.

The only FPS I kind of regret getting is probably Resistance.

After Bioshock 2 , I'm going cold turkey. Well , maybe after Resistance 3 ! Crap, there's going to be another Killzone too. :cry: I can't quit.

Right now I'm working my way through Killzone 2, Gears of War, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and Mass Effect. Oh, and every once in a great while I load up STALKER or Unreal Tournament 3 on my PC for a few minutes. But once this shooter phase ends, I'm moving on to Blue Dragon, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, and Valkyria Chronicles.

Edit: Err, well I just considered the fact that Valkyria Chronicles has shooting in it, so I don't know if we're really going to split hairs and call it a shooting game or not.

I have to agree with TC. I picked up MW2 and one week later I dropped it and haven't played it since. The FPS is such a tired genre. RPGs is were it's at.jakarai

Most of the good shooting games offer their own unique feel and atmosphere.

I go through spurts where I am burnt out on them, but I always get the itch for a good shooter again after awhile.

What typeof shooters are you talking about?

i can play Deus ex, TF2, HL2, and L4D with out getting bored but Halo and CoD put me to sleep

Ive gotten so bored of their singleplayer. I dont think I will ever play an fps's singleplayer again (besides halo) they have just become so stock and its always the same darn thing over and over, This is pretty much true with multiplayer but Idk Im just not bored of it yet

Pfft...the question should be more like, "how many shooting games can I play before 'they' get bored of me?"
