I think with the specs it supposedly has, and the way MS prices things (especially with their surface books), I think this can't be less than $1000. Which I don't get because it's supposed to compete with PS4, but the PRO will be at least $350 by then. That's my two cents anyway. What are you thinking, SW? Cheaper? More expensive?
Both NEO and RX-480 uses Polaris 10 based GPU with 36 CU.
NEO = Polaris 10 with 36 CU and clock speed around 911 Mhz which yields 4.2 TFLOPS
RX-480 = Polaris 10 with 36 CU and up to 1266Mhz clock speed which yields 5.83 TFLOPS. The worst working yield Polaris 10 from Global Foundry is RX-470 which includes 32 CU and up to 1200 Mhz clock speed which yields 4.92 TFLOPS
Scorpio will be launched sometime in 2017 with a 6 TFLOPS GPU which most likely be based from refreshed/refine version of Polaris 10 GPU.
Using past history e.g. R9-390 is refreshed/refine version of "Hawaii Pro" based R9-290. R9-390 (5.1 TFOPS) is faster than R9-290 (4.85 TFLOPS). The price for R9-390 is similar to R9-290.
Scorpio's APU chip size is similar to XBO's 363 mm^2 chip. Polaris 10's chip size is around 232 mm^2 hence 130 mm^2 allocated for CPU, North bridge and South bridge which is enough for full size 8 core FX ZEN (reduce to laptop clock speeds).
For the extra 4 GB of memory for 384 bit memory bus, there's about $30 difference between 4 GB GDDR5 and 8 GDDR5 at the retail level.
My best guess for Scorpio's price would be around $399 to $499 USD.
You guys make absolutely no sense.
Why on Earth would the Scorpio be priced at $500+ in late 2017? There is nothing about the hardware that justifies a $500 price tag, absolutely nothing.
- 6 Tflops GPU will be a $199.99 card in late 2017,
- 12GB's of ram in late 2017 will be cheaper than what 8GB's of ram cost Sony in 2013
- UHD Blu-ray player will be even cheaper.
Then you add the fact that Sony will have a full year head start with the Pro with a possible $50 price drop come late 2017. Microsoft cannot price the Scorpio $100 - $150 more expensive than the Pro if they want to be compeitive. At most the Scorpio has to be no more than $50 more expensive than the Pro.

Radeon RX 4XX with >256 bit bus is in RX 49x class GPU SKU.
Polaris 10 with 384 bit bus doesn't exist is the current PC's RX 4XX SKU lines.
Microsoft's statement on Scorpio's 4K are just a repeat from AMD's SKU structure for RX 4XX.
$499, its probably an amd 470 type gpu which isnt expensive and will be cheaper by then. They want to win back gamers and push their ecosystem so I cant see them going higher than 499
It would be a 480 not 470 and a beefed up 480. The 480 clocks 5.5Tflops.
With proper cooling, 480 with 1266Mhz clock speed has 5.83 TFLOPS.
