How much do you think Brawl's score won't suffer because it doesn't use waggle?

I think it would have completely ruined it... Even the Devs stated that it really couldn't be used without completely destroying the game.

It think it could have made the game loose an A or two. (Depending on what score it gets now).

It would have been in a very similar situation to Lair.

Isn't there an option to use motion controls?

whats the point of waggle then? Why didn't nintendo release a real console w/ HD graphics and a console w/ at least half the power of the 360? Why did they force waggle on you..then turn around and say its not needed for games (their biggest games)?

Who the hell cares? SSBB is going to be an AWESOME game. Who gives a crap about gimmicks when you have a solid title.

Kinda, just for smash attacks. It seems like an afterthought.

Who cares? You should...you paid $250 to play a new way...at the expanse of next-gen graphics/physics/ai....and now you're getting old gameplay w/ old graphics....double whammy

Brawl wasn't even made by Nintendo.

Wii haters are never going to be satisfied. The Wii gets bashed for having waggle, then a game comes along that doesn't use it and suddenly it needs it..

It doesn't get rid of that fact that games like SMG. (And probably SSBB) Are tons better than any of the crap we have for our PS3's.

Again, who cares if we're geting solid games?

Mario could have been so much better w/ regular controls (waggle didn't add anything innovative)...and better graphics/ai/physics.

Hold on a sec. Which game won "game of the year" again? Oh, wait, never mind.

It's already been argued that SMG couldn't have been done the same without regular controlls.

The graphics make it the best looking Wii game to date. (Or last gen). The AI was just freaking fine. And last of all, what are you talking about? The physics system is the most amazing use of physics I've seen to date. Don't even try to argue about the physics, you don't know how much I'm into the indie scene.

Are you wondering why it got such good scores? Maybe, just maybe it was because it was a near perfect game and you're biased.

No, it in fact offers four ways to control, which are then customizable.

You're talking about last year's GOTY right? The game that beat out the shiny new graphics and ai and physics heavy based games?

As for innovation? Read the reviews. Mostly based on how the game works well in implementing Wii mote controls without feeling tacked on, genious level designs, and solid all around gameplay.

It needs innovation to be done effectively? Give me a break. The spin move in Galaxy works great.

That's still quite limited don't ya think. Oh well, at least they're using it. Lets hope it doesn't feel tacked on.

How is that limited? You can play with basic motion controls or you can play conventionally. Shouldn't all games offer that kind of customization? Besides, just because the Wii boasts motion controls doesn't mean that it is bound by it.

lol NO! It supports 4 different controllers. You can then customize each button to what ever you want. (Think of a PC game as an example).

The WiiMote, the WiiMote and Nunchuck, the classic controller, and the gamecube controller.

It's the DEEPEST game as far as it goes for customizing controlles in a console game to date!

Nothing. There are Ds games that don't even attempt to use the touch screen or the second screen and they still get great scores. A game doens't have to have waggle, it's just gotta be really fun.
