I've never played Eternal Darkness but I heard that it pwned because of the innovation that it put into the horror genre. I wonder if its creators are planning to make another one and if so would it cause a surge of discussion on this forum?
eternal darkness is indeed imba but i think Silikon KNights would have problem making a next gen eternal darkness because they have since their eternal darkness stint on the gaymecube went over to the dark side (microsoft) so it might not be called eternal darkness 2. but im pretty sure they'll make something similiarNaiKoN9293

They said they want to make a new one and they are even working on a Horror game for all 3 consoles but that horror game can't be Eternal Darkness 2 since Nintendo owns alot of the rights to Eternal Darkness they can make a spiritual Successor on current Gen consoles but they can't call it Eternal Darkness kind've like why Monolith had to make a Spiritual Successor to F.E.A.R. because they don't own the rights to the game.

Indeed, Nintendo actually own ALL the rights.
On the case it just says "copyright Nintendo 2002" and that's it. Silicon Knights own none of the rights. Plus Nintendo patented "Video Game Insanity"... So, if it will be, it will be with Nintendo..
the copyright issues aside, Dyack said he'd prob make it after completing the Too Human trilogy .. that could take a while!
if nintendo has the rights to it, and the insanity idea, then i hope SK decide to release it on nintendo's next console or whatever, to keep the continuity
a spiritual successor won't be the same, especially with no insanity
