How much of a headstart will FF7 remake have on PS4?

It's rated E because there isn't anything in it to warrant a different rating....that does not mean it's a kids game.

Forgive me then, the Disney characters and rated E for everyone led me to believe it was aimed at Everyone, including kids. On 3DS its aimed at kids and is a big seller among them. I know 3 kids who love and enjoy the games very much.

Except one is a remake whilst one is a sequel, everyone knows the plot to FFVII whilst RoTR will be entirely spoilt for PS4/PC fans because lems are butthurt.

They did do the final mixes on ps3. All the other kh games to come out where all handheld titles. Square has been traditionally sony in the past save the few handheld nintendo games, but who knows ff 13 was the first multiplat ff game. I dont know if this will extend to kh

Because of the weak Xbone hardware would they even try to port the PS4 version to the Xbone? Could they just upscale the PS1 FF7 to like 900P would that be easier for the slow DDR3 to handle? Either way its FF7!!

I do not think so. The reason FFXV got delayed so many times is because the graphic engines Square enix developed since the ps3/360 generation (Crystal Tools and Luminous) were pure shit. Tabata already confirmed that the FF7 Remake will not be using Luminous engine so they will not be having that problem with this game. The second problem they had was that FFXIV failed really hard at first and they had focus many their resources to fix that game, as a result many of their console games got delayed.

SE might release FF7 remake within a year or two before the next Sony console comes. Then they'll remaster the game on the next console.

It's not a sequel to a game that was on both Xbox and PS (even FF VII was PS and PC only), and it wasn't announced without exclusivity only a short while before it got re-announced as an exclusive.

That said, all exclusivity deals are trash, especially if the game targets mutiplat from the beginning but is released as a timed exclusive just for the money.

And as a side note for those claiming that SE will probably bring the game to PC but not to Xbox One, let me remind you that if FFV Remake is made on the PC using Windows 10 and DX12, it will take relatively no effort for them to port that game over to Xbox One.. Do you think they'll leave that money on the table when the lion's share of the coding is already done?..

As time goes on, Windows 10 gaming is becoming Xbox gaming.. In the coming years, I'd doubt we'll see many Win10/DX12 PC games on PS4 but NOT on also on Xbox One...
