I'm 33, haven't noticed my reflexes getting worse yet.

I play MP stuff. Usually win or come high up on score lists in pretty much everything I bother to learn.

Hunt: Showdown

Overwatch

Rocket League

Smash Bros.

Mario Kart

Battlefield

Quake

Unreal Tournament

I was even killing it in Apex. Probably because I was mostly playing against children I guess.

Yeah I was still very good in black ops 1 at 33 as well. 43 is a major difference though, for fast paced shooter games anyway, at least in my experience.

If I'm playing a game online, I'm playing to win so I'll never understand the whole "I don't like sweats, I only play casual" stuff? What's the point of playing a competitive online game if you aren't trying to win, that's a large part of the fun is getting the win or being a big part of the win (if you're playing a fps or other game with teammates).

I play mostly exclusively FPS and fighting games online (they tend to be what I'm best at), right now it's VF5 and CoD:MWR for me. VF5 is fantastic, I'm enjoying relearning the game and constantly getting better at it.

never got into virtual fighter, played the first one in the arcade though. always been more of a mortal kombat player, and street fighter to a certain extent.

Every once in a while a game hits me that I want to compete at.

Proudly hold top 10 scores in both Olli Olli games and super meat boy.

I was pretty damn good back in the day not the best but not the worst better then average. I got kicked off multiple servers in Battlefield 2 because me and my clanmate would destroy teams with the attack chopper and they thought we where cheating lol. I was damn good shooting a tv missile I also was a hell of a sniper in MOHAA MP.

Used to be decent in shooters and enjoyed the competitive aspect a lot, now a days I have a full time job, a house and kids so not a lot of time to play so mostly do SP stuff these days!

Do play quite a bit of hearthstone on the phone and get to legend quite often, not like it’s a huge archivement but definitely the only game I am still competitive in in any meaningful degree!

I mostly play NHL and Battlefield and I play them a lot. I am pretty good at both games. I play to win, but I want to have fun while doing so. I don't focus on continuing to get better as I know I am not going to reach an elite level. I just play a lot because I enjoy it and I do what I can to help the team win.

Can attest to this. Bass is usually somewhere on top of the leaderboard in BF.

Personally, I only have a few games that I tryhard in. They are multiplayer games of course, which is where the skill really shines. Though I also have games that I relax in. Generally, Nintendo games are good for just good fun without the sweat and toxicity. Which is why I love them. I love Mario, Zelda, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Splatoon, Pokemon, etc. Plus I also love indie games on the go for relaxing as well.

Unfortunately, I've sort of stopped playing multiplayer games because I'm going to build a PC and really go all in as far as sweating. Yes, I'm going to become a Fortnite sweat. :) I'm working a part time job to save enough to build a PC, which is harder than you think because of other expenses such as a new phone, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. Though after Father's Day, that'll be it for extra expenses. After that, I'll just need to save $1,000 and wait for crypto currency to buy an affordable GPU, or have my brother fix his other GPU while I buy the rest of the parts to build a PC.

Good on you, sir.

I am crap at a lot of games online. The only game I was skilled is Mario Kart Wii. I literally mastered and studied most courses and was pretty competitive. My VR averaged between 79K-83K. My highest was 91K.

I like the "PTFO" games now(Hell Let Loose, ArmA, Rising Storm 2, etc.). I still try and get the most kills and points but winning the game with my team just as important. I tried getting back into Call of Duty when MW 2019 came out but I just wasn't having fun. I was more frustrated than anything else. BF4 has gotten old.

I don’t want to be a sweat, it’s not enjoyable for me. Can I compete (not professionally) in most games? Absolutely! But that’s not why I enjoy games. I play to have fun and being skilled is not what equates to fun for me.

and this is the reason why most mainstream multiplayer games suck and singleplayer games have become shitty casual interactive movies.

>I don't play to win. I play to have fun.

You play to beat and/or win a video game while hopefully it's fun at the same time while you're at defeating the challenge presented to you. This is the whole point of video games. It's like you've been gaming since 2008. lol imagine if the Super Mario and Sonic the Hedge Hog 2 were influenced by cancerous thoughts like this.

>Pong and Pacman don't speed up because I want to have fun

I don't think this is completely fair. I think it's okay to have some games that you play casually. Don't Starve Together is that game for me. I don't care to really tryhard or build the most efficient base. I just play to have fun and pass the time. However, I do get annoyed with people who complain about sweats in an online multiplayer fps game. Like, what do you expect?
