I've been here here since like, 2007 I think? I grew up with 2 brothers and always had a hard time fitting in with girls so I basically turned myself into a tomboy. And then that eventually phased out when I got into anime in my mid 20s. There was actually a point where I wanted to be a guy too because I just thought guys had it easier. I used to go by killered7. The ed part was a part of a persona I made for myself at the time but never really did anything with it. So I did some soul searching over the years too. I don't really stop by as much as I used to but I've been on GS since high school. Now I got 1 little girl of my own, I'm single, mildly depressed and slightly bitter. And I am 29.

with 31 I'm in the majority group it seems :) I'm comming here for a very long time. This is my 2nd account after I lost my old one (and it's mail address) and before that first one I did real but not post. So yeah, probably like 22 years? Somewhere around that. Pretty sure it was before the year 2000.

(I wish the GS team could take away the 2 in my name, but so far they always refused to do it)

far too close to 40 for comfort.

spent my early gs days mainly on the pc forum, gd, ot and unions. some great characters, interesting threads, you could tab open a few threads, read through, hit refresh and there'd be a ton of new posts / threads... life was good.

then they killed the old site. unions gone. levels gone. loads of functionality gone. pc forum merged with pc hardware forum. everything was broken. you couldn't even add an avatar. mass exodus, including myself.

i returned ~2015 spent some time on game discussion but it was clearly on its last legs, as was ot which is now just mainly a place for a handful of socially awkward manic depressives to talk about how shit their lives are so it was system wars or nothing. at times i read posts and question wtf i'm doing with my life but it's still an ok way to kill 5-10 mins a day

26, about to turn 27 in March. I joined in 2011 to post in the Skyrim board, as I was pretty hyped about the game.

I'm mostly active in OT but I also like the gaming discussions (well most of them lol) in System Warts and Games Discussion.

30. I read reviews on videogames.com or whatever it was called. It became gamespot soon after. Forgot the exact years. I remember photos of tube TVs used in reviews.

I joined the forum in 04, I think, to discuss some games releasing on PS2 (forgot exactly which games, could be Megaman X8). I saw some things in the forums that I couldn't let fly without clarification (lol), so I injected myself in the discussion. It went well. Good times.

I'm 45 years old, mentality of a 20 year old. Been coming to this website for years and then some. Quite a bit of loved ones have passed, years working hard, moved across the country, a Whole lot of tragedies and hard times, medical problems and still staying within this website in the meantime. Not much family is left and all out of friends, vg and music is what keeps me going.

46. I’ve been coming since 2004. I got back into video games after a 12 year hiatus when I saw my brother playing GTA Vice City and I had to get a PS2. Then I came here at random looking for game info and saw Resident Evil 4 previews, and had to get a GameCube. Then I saw the forums and great writers like the great Greg Kasavin, and had to join. I’ve had a few different accounts (ChiefFreeman, Halvedlife). So many changes over the years. I miss the community that was here in the 2000’s. It was Gamespots golden era.

I've been browsing here since the start of the gamecube playstation OG xbox generation. Had an old account from 15 years ago I cant recall. Spent most of the time lurking when a big exclusive or new console came out.

Been coming since 2005 - 06 under a different username and used to be active at the gamesfaq side game discussions for all JRPG games under the sun. I think those days the gamespot and gamesfaq forum is linked but gamespot users cannot see gamesfaq made thread unless you go to gamesfaq. Its weird.

26. Regular since I made this account. I use to have another that I had 12ish years ago when I started getting into PC and would ask questions but other than that didn't post. I guess the small community helps. You know other users better.

41. Been coming here since shortly after the release of OoT when I was stationed in Okinawa back when the site was videogames.com. Apparently, I signed up a few months after the website conversion in '02.

29. Been a member since 2006 under a different username (mun006). Earned some trophies under that account from watching E3 livestreams on here back in '07 till '13. Good times. I'm sure I was guest on this site for a couple of years before signing up back then. I think this is the first thread I've ever responded to on either accounts. Mostly made this just to follow and track upcoming games.
