How old is everyone here?........

Im 23....and basically the video game industry to me in 2008 feels dead...when i was younger games were alot more fun.

This generation has been plain terrible.

I used the name because i seen kids use it back in the day just sounds funny.

Killzone2 actually looks decent, only things i could bash is no firing weapon while jumping and only 8 multiplayer maps.

First of all how do we know that is your birthday? do we have any proof?

secondly no, the industry is not dying, simply changing, and if you were a true gamer it would not bother you one bit. Look at me, i absolutly love point and clickers, yet they hardly ever make them and when they do most of the times they are mediocre to say the least

however there is a backcatalog of adventure games i have yet to play so im happy, i know there is an immense choice of games (specially if we include indie games)

lol. i am 22 btw. and i think last gen is still the best. since i am a new ps3 owner and havent got many games to play at the moment.

last gen ps2 was the bomb!

I am 17. Been playing video games since around 1994-95.

anyway as for my age ill be turning 21 next week (2nd of August) so i expect gifts from everyone here at System warsst1ka

Today's games lack good level design just interesting epic looking places...the levels have no secret area's to find like old school games duke nukem 3d or blood open up hidden walls and crap made it fun, the levels had plenty of places to explore/hide out ....the weapons are lame as hell in new shooters the movement is too slow.

The downfall of pc gaming counter strike and World of warcraft.

Back in mplayer quake and duke nukem/ten days it was amazing.

I'm 25. I think the gaming industry is better than it's ever been. High production costs play havok with the relationships between gaming studios, publishers, journalists and fans, but they also ensure that a lot less crap gets made. When you have a year like 2008 in which almost every EA sports game was top quality, you know the industry is changing for the better.

I am big on technological advancements in games, so to me each gen is better than the last.

What was so great about the NES, SuperNES, PS1, PS2 era compared to this gen? All of these games that live in our memories as the greatest ever, ie Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, are probably better living unmolested in your memory. I find that when I dust off an old "classic" it often just feels old and taints my great memories. There was a lot less competition back in the day. Some games were off the charts, but there were a lot more $60 suckfests that wouldn't even be considered mini-games in this day and age. I am old enough to remember that.
