All the young whippersnappers should just stop now so I could once again feel I'm the best gamer out there. :P
Anywho, yeah, I've seen the correct answer here so ahem...
My Gran is 72 and rather enjoys playing the first 3 Spyro games on the PS1 (My old one I moved there years ago for when I visit). Now she plays it with My cousins son when shes mindind him.
So never.....I don't think I'l ever give up, I might Just change the type of games I play as my reactions start to go in my 60's and turn down the difficulty abit. Who knows maybe Il be playing online with my Grand kids in 2065 in COD Modern Warefare 43 and destroying them whilst giving smack talk down a mic about how his mum would be disgraced to see him beat by an old man.
They'll take my controller from my cold, dead, fingers. That's when I'll be too old for gaming (and if there's an afterlife, it better have quality internet and up-to-date consoles).
Ya it also means you have to curb your time to take care of a wife kids etc :pnever.. getting older just means u get to buy more games
ultraking
Never but I can't imagine playing past my 50s due to arthritis, receding vision, etc.Xeros606
My father's 56 and he doesn't have arthritis and his vision is fine, as long as there's light. You've either got records of poor health in your family, or you've got the information wrong...
...Never.
Honestly, the only thing I'll be doing when I'm 85 and in a wheelchair is play video games.
Whenver you lose interest if you do. I know I lostmy interestin my twenties and most of my thirties. I played games from 10-21 religiously but found girls and actually didn'tfindvideo games again in my late 30's(41 now) until a young girl I dated thought that my house was to boring and that I needed to buy a video game system. I don't think see saw me buying 2 PS'3, 1 Wii and1 XBOX 360 and countless games. LOL. I don't have kids so that could change things either way but right now I'm going strong at my age playing my favorite hobby.

young girl... you $&%#
You're too old to play video games when you become immature enough to believe age should determine what you enjoy.

The day when the gamer's soul no longer exists or remembers video games is the day you are too old to play games.
Why can't you play games if you have a family? It's not age thats the matter as much as situations (Shouldn't game if you can't afford to or have a family imo)

[QUOTE="ps3wizard45"]Why can't you play games if you have a family? I'm 31 and I've been married for 6 years. My daughter is 4 and my son is turning 2 next month. I guess I'm going to have to give it up, huh? It's not age thats the matter as much as situations (Shouldn't game if you can't afford to or have a family imo)

I'm 35 and have no intention on stopping any time soon.
I have an uncle who is in his 50s and still plays daily so I'm pretty sure I'll be gaming for quite some years.
You really can never be too old to play games. I know tons of people in their 30's and 40's still playing lots of games. Nothing wrong with that.

this is the correct answer
the only correct answer. :P
straight answer? when you hit 135 years old I'll tell you to stop gamming. but until then, game happily.
EDIT:
but a serious answer. Only stop if it starts getting the way of life. even then it'd just be a amount of time until things are cleared up. being too old to game is like saying you're too old to watch TV.
Forget the idea that gaming is for kids. Anyone thinking that is either misinformed or plain in denial. Most games today are rated M or are obviously targeted atmature gamers (sims, MMO's, RTS, ECT.)
Parents are shocked at game's content because they never play games so they wouldn't know that more than 70% of gamers areabove 17years of age. Yes there are games rated E. well E stands for everyone. I play Viva pinata: TiPand I'm sorry to say that that is one of the harder games I've encountered (later on in the game atleast).
Burnout Paradise and Need for speed games are technically E and E10 games so why are they so fun for anyone to pick up? well its because they are aimed at everyone.
Gaming is a form of entertainment Just like movies, Music, and reading. They're diffrent, yes. but they're really for any age (as long as you follow ESRB or Pegi or what ever it rated)
I think that if you enjoy it from now or even when your 110 then you should still do it. Pick up the controller and play those games out! 8)
