People need to realize game scores do not make a game good.

i didnt enjoy eithers single player but both had good multiplayer. resistance's was good since it had pretty big weapons with plenty of players while cod3 had a decent class system, cool gamemodes and vehicles so i would say overall there pretty equal in the gameplay department imo.

Resistance > COD3.

COD2 might be a different story, but 3 was just not that great. Resistance was awesome.

Verdict? Overrated

Yeah well everyone has there own opinion, they even gave PDZ an AAA, and I played both games and in my opinion RFOM killz that game in everyway. Besides after those scores I dont by the scores one game site says to a buy a game. Look how they rated motorstorm and crackdown and both those games shouldve deserved AA atleast.

I thought Resistance deserved no more than a 7.5. That means Gamespot are biased towards the PS3. 

Call of Duty is series that has several GOTY nominations and COD3 emulates similar gameplay and story to it's predecessors, so I don't think that you opinion that Resistance is better constitutes bias on the part of gamespot. Now if you have evidence of why it is better besides opinion well then you may have something.tempest91

Call of Duty 3 is the better game. As for graphics Call of Duty 3 outdoes Resistance in many areas (I never get why cows hype Resistance graphics, it's not a graphics showcase at all). Resistance has more weapons, that's pretty much all it has going for it. themyth01

And the weapons are all it needs to be the better game.. cause we all know the weapons are the core part of any FPS.. Call of Duty 3 you could get by the hole game with just your pistol.. it was generic to say the least..  RFOM had a better art direction than the generic world war II graphics of COD3,  thats used in almost every FPS. The SLIGHT better graphics that COD3 has doesn't make any differance at all really. 

Resistance is not bad. Its just the average fps. It got the score it deserved. Doesnt mean its a bad game, it just mean that its not great. :shock:Magical_Zebra

I'll agree that R:FoM should have scored higher, but it doesn't really show that gamspot is biased.  Gamespot was kind of biased when the PS3 was released.  However, things have changed, and they are giving the PS3 great coverage now.

no, no, no, and no. there is no better story than anything that happened in WW2. never has there been a clear cut real life conflict of good and evil. RFOM looked like hell and lacked detail that COD3 had. AI is poor on both fronts. Lastly, as far as weapons go, its all about preference. I would much rather have an mp40 or kar98 instead of some lame @$$ futuristic rirle that shoots through walls. all this plus COD3 MP>>>>>>>everything about RFOM. you phail.ninjaxams

Why play COD3 when the first and second COD games were so much better? Call of Duty 3 offers nothing new to the whole WW2 game universe. Same guns, same settings, same boring enemies, everything you have done before. Besides several little parts where you drive, but those are only decent. And while it does make firing a gun feel a little more realistic, Resistance beats it by offering weapons we haven't seen before and that are quite frankly much more fun to use.

And WW2 does not have a great story. "Hey, those guys don't like jews and kill them for some reason. Hurr, let's go save them." Oh yes, truely great. Everything about Resistance blows Call of Duty 3 out of the park when it comes to settings and such. Instead of raping history for entertainment, it actually tries to do something different. Which we need so see more of in games. COD3 does offer a entertaining and often thrilling gameplay experience, when the difficulity is turned up really high, but it's something you've already played hundreds of times before.

Call of Duty 3 = more of the same.

Resistance = Offers a novel twist to a historical event and actually gives us something new.

I just beleive you, like, really.  Your obvious unbiased logical answer says it all.  It could not be because they just LIKED COD 3 more then resistance, it has to be that they are biased. 

I thank god everyday that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and not just you.

Thats pretty bad logic coming from a lemming, seeing as how all you fanboys care about is scores. A lot of people think Halo is garbage (I being one of them) and that it didnt deserve AAA status, yet it got it anyway even though its a subpar shooter compared to Half Life or pretty much every other epic FPS game. If Halo 3 gets lower then 9.0 lemmings will go around screaming that scores dont matter and all that crap, just like cows did with Motorstorm and sheep did it with Zelda. Zelda was a fantastic game but certainly not worthy of anything more then a 9.0, Motorstorm is worth at least an 8.9 in my eyes because its so damn hard and a lot of fun to play. Either way that is also my opinion. I dont personally always agree with the scores that some reviewers give games, especially Call of Duty 3 which was crap compared to COD2 and Resistance is indeed far better, but like many my opinion differs from that of GS's and everyone elses.
