[QUOTE="navyguy21"]Why in the hell didnt they explain this in the beginning and avoid all of the negative headlines? :| So stupid.... (Awesome news tho :P , i was worried about that.)Mr720fan
because spencer mattrick and others dont have that kind of PR skill. Hire a motherly woman to tell the masses about this and you are fine. These guys are clueless about it, spencer doesnt even know how it works. Time for someone to get fired i think or downgraded.
Its because they haven't finalized what games can go to the shared game library (what games can be shared and whether 3rd party games can be shared). It will be announced in the coming months. I assume the next big convention.
Don't blame Mattrick on this. I assume the announcement schedule is planned ahead of time.
On topic, there are probably huge caveats behind this. I can't even imagine how much a game's value being split into ten would affect game sales.BlabadonOnly one person can play it at a time tho. I think its going to be an activate/deactivate sort of thing. Like checking out a book. Still dont see why the DRM is needed then since this is effectively costing devs 9 other sales......like used games :|
Will there even be any exclusives worth sharing?Once its released, we can get sharing groups for people who wanna share games. It will be the most envious thread on gamespot. Hehehe.

He is misinformed, only games that you wont be able to share are going to be f2p and maybe multiplayer only like titanfall. if it has single player, guess what, you are going to be able share it.

[QUOTE="Nengo_Flow"]Did you forget that the PS3 has the game share feature? Mr720fan
are we talking about PS3???
well I meant to say PSN, cuz the PSP and VITA also have Game Sharing feature. Dont you think the Quad will too? Of course it will. This is nothing new, M$ s just taking something SONY has already done. Also, gamesharing on PS3 >>> Over at CAG, we have an awesome community for that. Got me Last of Us day one for $20, my friend got it for $10Blabadon
cheap ass gamer?
I've never tried game sharing. that's wicked.

not true. There is a reason why Mattrick didn't really go into the feature at E3 or why it wasn't in depthly talked about during their conference. The sharing folder is limited but the extent of the limitations haven't been announced. If it was only freetoplay and multiplayer games they would have announced. Instead they dodged third party questions and ect...
MS has a release schedule on the information that has probably be preplanned for the year.
This isn't Mattrick fault that he can't go into every detail or why he has to dodge some questions.
So... 10 people can share a game through a list on XBL, but only 1 person can play it at once. Is this through just one console, or consoles across the country? And if so, how do consoles across the country get the game data from the shared game? Do they download it through XBL? How long does that take? What if I wanted to play the game but someone else was already playing it?
This just sounds like crazy BS to me.

[QUOTE="ReadingRainbow4"]When you lend a game to your friend, you can't play it too. This is a more convenient way of doing that. I dont care about sharing a game. have fun renting games on xdone. You didn't include the fact that only one of those friends can play the game at a time.

What if your "friend" doesn't end up giving you the game back, is there a way to deny them access?
With the ps4 I can just go over to their house, kick the door in and get my copy back. Simple.

Of course there is. It will be recognized as you being the actual owner. I'm sure it will give you options exclusive to you.you are so pathetic... so obsessed with cows. And why would cows be made at a feature they had on the PS3? you never heard of the game sharing feature?Where can we create the sharing groups here on gamespot. Putting them on system wars would probably be rage inducing for the cows. Probably the Xbox One forum. Amirite?

You are trying to hide behind the fact that a third party dev is lagging with a game compared to what two Sony owned devs can't do on the hardware that is so much more powerful than the Xbox One. If the PS4 is twice as powerful, sometimes more than that according to fan boys, then why are they getting such low frames on their in house games?lol percech damage control thread

Why would anyone fedex a game across the country? lol.
Unless of course you wanted to sell it to someone on Ebay or somesuch site.
Dont forget for xbox one they have to be your friend for more than 30 days and only one person at a time can play the game so all 10 people have to take turns playing it. This includes the original owner of the game.
They also have to live in a country where xbox live is supported and a consistant internet connection because when you lend a friend a game the xbox one does checks in every hour instead of every 24 hours.
And you can only lend a game out to people one time.
If they are on a data cap internet connection they wont be able to use it more likely considering games can run from 20 to 50 gb in size. Not so good for someone with a data cap of 2gb or 20 a month.
WTF? I have one friend in another state and she'd not stupid enough to buy the xbox One. Everyone I know is well within driving distance. YoshiYogurtI could see it being useful for my family. My brother lives like 1000 miles away from me and my family just moved like 800 miles away from me. I think this is a pretty awesome feature.
[QUOTE="ReadingRainbow4"]The point is you can't let people borrow your game if they live far away from you. get some new friendsWhy would anyone fedex a game across the country? lol.

[QUOTE="daveg1"]and what happens the the guy who PAID for the game if he wishes to trade it for a new game eh??? hahahahahpercechMS is making deals with retailers to allow you to trade in your game for credit. So far Gamestop is good to go. Next hopefully will be Amazon. And what about mom 'n pop retailers?
