Gather around children, today we are going to learn the meaning of the phrase "loaded question". Whats that you ask? It could be something as simple as suggesting a business copies other businesses, and that the other businesses they are copying are basically rolling in innovation while failing to realize that every thing in existence borrows a little bit from something else.
Natal is the Eyetoy, and the Move is the Wiimote. Feel better now?yeah cause only Sony "copies"

These threads are getting old fast, and lets hope Sony doesn't copy Nintendo's business model of releasing a different model ever year.

Yes but the DS has had two in the past year, and then it's successor is on the way next year. :P[QUOTE="Shirokishi_"][QUOTE="Ragnarok1051"]

Atleast the DS models actually have change!!!
The PSP GO may suck something fierce but it is a change from the usual PSP. DSi is really the only significant change the DS had gone through.I can see the ads now: "Sony. Real innovators break the space-time continuum."3DPSP... But they will have to type it first as the 4DPSP.

As far as I know the lite only made it smaller. Was there anything else?
I wonder what all the Sony lovers are gonna say when the PSP2 is announced with either a touch screen or 3D... or both? Can't wait to see the damage control when it happens.
Why can't people just be real about what's going on... sure, companies use others' ideas and pass them off as their own, but usually they will add something to it to improve what has already been done..... ie: EyeToy - Natal. It's similar, but Natal is far more than the EyeToy ever was.
Sony is also the biggest culprit of the 3, when it comes to copying ideas and/or features. Of course if you're a Sony fanboy, you'll just stick your head in the sand and pretend this isn't true.
Sony would be stupid not to try and copy Nintendo though... it's really their only choice... whats the alternative? to accept poor sales again?

DS lite improvements: Sleek new look Smaller handheld Brighter screens Bigger stylus Longer battery life best buttons in any goddamn handheld device out there.i dont even see how this is even gonna work...3d with out the glasses? That ds is gonna cost an arm and a leg
parallax barriers, look it up  i would be surprised if it cost more than $150 at launch.i dont even see how this is even gonna work...3d with out the glasses? That ds is gonna cost an arm and a leg

Gamecube didn't come with dual analogs and in-house rumble without Sony to set the precedent. It goes both ways. Welcome to technology.
2. Wouldn't Sony have "copied" DS by now? It's been like 5 years.
3. Sony announced 3D support for the PS3 before the 3DS was announced, so technically we can't claim that Sony is "copying" 3D.

i seriously dont believe that, because nintendo would have included their OWN invention in their next controller, sony was simply quicker, because they copied the whole thing.
other then that, there is really not much to be said :)

It's strange that Sony was pushing 3D at all those trade shows for the last few years, trying to lead gaming in that direction, and then the 3DS is mentioned...and now automatically Sony is going to copy Nintendo?
Why isn't Nintendo copying Sony, because the have their own spin on technology, they get a free pass? I still love my Sly Cooper on PS2 in 3D.
I wouldn't worry about who is copying who, as the more developers push 3D. the better the technology will improve.
Wait...the same Sony that was one of the first big companies to back 3D technology in televisions? Please learn history.
Derek240
QFT. History is called for in this thread, but since this is the 20th thread like forgetting about history and making claims, I don't think it matters since no one wants to hear about that.

What? How do you post that, and then pick up a 360 controller and use it to play games with? Just look down at the controller.
You are pushing Select (called back), Start, X, Y, B, A, Triggers, shoulder buttons, a Dpad, Twin analog control scheme, Buttons within the analog sticks, what does it take to ignore just the controller and then make a claim about who's the biggest culprit? Live is somewhat deserving of course, but to ignore the machine and controller you game on to make a point, I don't get it.
they will do like they always do, they'll take the good part, remove the crap and make it better then the original
And what if Sony's been working on a 3D PSP for years?tomarlyn
Then it would be interesting to see Koller explain his earlier statements.

Sony Computer Entertainment of America's Director of Hardware and Marketing. John Koller. He made some interesting remarks on the 3DS in an IGN interview..

I'd rather be an expert than a noob at copying. Look at how Dante's Inferno came out and look at how Uncharted came out [QUOTE="tomarlyn"]Sorry, who's Koller?ThePlothole

I actually think Sony is more likely to release a direct competitor to the iphone instead anyway, with its Sony Ericsson line. If Wii 2 is 3d, after the PS3 3D update, who's going to be copying who? Not that I carePlease Log In to post.
