How will WiiU compete with xbox 360 when the 360 price point will be 199?

Kinect is a good piece of tech that will become very useful for something after it's more improved,etc,but that won't be gaming.In gaming,Kinect is nothing but a gimmick...

Traditional "button" controllers will never be replaced,they may make many "high tech" motion controllers,but none has the convinience of a standard controller that simply allows you to sit down,relax and enjoy your game...

Me too, but lately they have been rather dissapoiting

I cant say i liked Zleda SS as much as older Zeldas and did not like TP at all

They are in a big decline imo in every way

I would say many things are in decline though, like FF for example, still 360/PS3 get games like Dark Souls and Witcher 2 that do make a huge difference, while Wii stayed behind

I feel that the majority of Wii users will not upgrade to the WiiU. If the 360 and PS3 are and seem to be going quite strong in the "HD" market including a WiiHD isn't going to sell Nintendo's credentials on the matter. The 360 and PS3 offer greater value for money when the WiiU gets released and if they are just another cog in the gears of multi-platform games then those who own a PS3 and/or 360 aren't going to look at getting the console when the visuals will be almost the same.mike_on_mic

You and I have a different definition for "social" my friend. You obviously take social to mean things like chat systems and online functionality. I take social to mean interacting in the flesh between human beings while playing video games. You know, going to a real live social gathering and gaming.This is the social draw of the Wii.

Xenoblade Chronicles comes out in North America on April 6 and the Last Story releases in North America in the Summer.

You are right, the 360 is the most powerful system EVER made!

Sony and Nintendo are doomed!

MS charges us to play online because they love us!

360 multiplats are WAY better than PS3 multiplats, there is a real difference, not a minimal one!

Except when it comes to 360 and PC multiplats, those differences are minimal and arn't even noticable at all, in fact the 360 version is always better because it runs at a lower framerate which preserves the cinematic experince of the games, unlike PC which destroys them!

PS3 Exclusives all suck, especially Uncharted, Indiana Jones genric rip off, unlike Halo and Gears which are about totally non genric non rip offs of space cyborgs shooting purple aliens or giant men shooting ground monsters!

Kinect is the best thing ever and totally not a gimmick at all, unlike every game Nintendo and Sony make!

Blu Ray is totally not the future console format at all, playing games on multiple discs that are easy to scratch is so much more fun! Except come next gen when the next Xbox has Blu Ray, then it's awesome!

They seem to be focusing on trying to please all kinds of gamers with the Wii U. As far as drawing in many casuals and non-gamers again, I think it depends on if the Wii U gets one or more games which are huge system sellers like Wii Sports was for the Wii, otherwise it won't be the runaway success on the level the Wii was, even with all the marketing in the world. As of now, I agree with Mike's point, although of course there'll be some hardcore fans who will rush out and get a Wii U early on. But it will be interesting to see what they do with that controller.
