How would a Xbox one price drop make you feel?

No, it would be cool but I still wouldn't get one until later. If the prices were switched right now, I would still sooner get the PS4.

Going to be completely honest, it wouldn't matter at all to me. The biggest problem I have with X1 is knowing that MS doesn't support their systems with a variety of high quality content throughout the generation.

Look at the 369 this year, look at it since 2009, look at how they abandoned the original Xbox. Once MS has made money off you MS no longer cares about the investment you made in their product.

Over the specs and any other nitpick, this is the biggest factor in why or why not to buy the console.

Ditto. And this applies to Nintendo to some extent, too. I'm just kind of put off by Microsoft's lack of support for their own hardware for the last two consecutive generations. X1 will not be different. I'd rather stick with a platform (Sony) that will give me more value for my money by supporting their device and working with third party partners to ensure software support.

Well that's what they needed if they wanted a edge over PS4 - drop the price down to 350$ and make Kinect optional.

The system would thus be a good "in-between" choice, weaker but cheaper than PS4 and slightly more expensive but stronger than WiiU.

that's what i'm waiting for.

If the only way to lower the price to $400 was to drop the Kinect then I wouldn't care for it anymore.

If it still had Kinect, and cost $400, then I'd be happier simply because lower prices are always better.

I'm not looking foward to getting either of the consoles this year but it would certainly push me to get them sooner than later. But this is kind of irrelevant as I'll have both consoles by the end of the generation. Now the question is will I be in a rush to upgrade from my laptop to a full on desktop with these consoles on the horizon?

I'd be more inclined to buy an xboxone.  With that being said however, it wouldn't be enough for me to cancel my PS4 pre-order.  Right now I'm telling myself that I'm only going to buy one console but I usually always buy 2 every generation...

XBO should be 33% cheaper then PS4 because it's that much less powerful. Then add $60 on for kinect.

$400 - $132 = $268 + $60 = $328

That's what I'll be willing to pay @ launch for it. That's if I would even want it.

Like I still don't like the usserbase, Microsofts bussiness tactics, it's games and pc is still king in comparison.

The price is not the issue.....the release date is......I want one now!
