I'm quite curious. Knowing that very few ppl actually want the system, how would you change that around? For me, I would give it a cpu more powerful than the one in the PS3 & 360, a better gpu, 4 gb ram, more exclusives and new ips, and most importantly... A NAME CHANGE! Seriously? Wii U? More like Pii U. How would you make the Wii U more appealing?

I would include quantum processing CPU and take over the world motherfuvkers...
But first I'd obviously change a name! Wii Now RuLE U.... join the dark side!

I would give it a name that doesn't confuse and annoy people. I would give it hardware that is at least from this decade. I would make all gimmicky control schemes 100% optional for third party developers. That's about it. It would be a viable console at that point.

Put more games on it. MAYBE double the power, at least the RAM. Put at least a 250GB HDD in it too.

Ditch the tablet, Advertise it as a 200 dollar box that plays HD Nintendo games, put every classic Nintendo game on E-shop, start doing HD collections/remakes like crazy, make it as appealing as possible to indie devs. Thats all they had to do.

They could still do it too.

Everything's fine, except the games. It wouldn't matter if the Wii U was named the Wii 2, or if it was using regular controllers as a standard, or if the power was doubled. It would still be where it is because it's lacking in the games department. I'd seriously up the production on 1st party Nintendo IPs, because that's really the only thing that sells a Nintendo console.

Make the pro controller the pack-in controller and the tablet a separate buy! That I believe was their biggest mistake.

Much Bigger Storage/HDD, longer standard battery life for tablet, improved OS (coming), and Nintendo ID limitation (one per console) fixed.

EDIT : I had a longer list, but I will keep this list short and sweet.

EDIT 2 : Nov 2013, the f*ckin' OS still SUCKS. Oh well.

1. More games

2. 250 gig Hdd

3. Better battery life for controller.

4. Make the controller USB chargable.

Vyse_Legends

It's GOAT processing now. Even more fasterer and HDer than Blast Processing.

Also, I would've made the screen 720p and triple the battery capacity. Would've also had games tied to the account which can log in from another console and downloaded.

I would just release more games for it because IMO that is all it needs is more games to get people interested in the Wii U.

adding 3DS emulator for download to it then put games up on e-shop or add on like they did for Gamecube would be nice . Of course it would be hard for me to buy anything on Eshop until they fix the issue of tieing downloads to console instead of your name

PLAY YOUR GAMES ON BIG SCREEN! Thats just a wish though.

Real solution is they should done better job releasing IP's even paying third parties to do so to get the console out and selling

Something like the Super Game Boy for the SNES. It's a perfect fit really, and I really wanna play SM3DL on a big screen. Although, that means they have to increase the internal resolution render or else it'll look like pixelated piss.

I would get some new ip's coming out.. some strategy games that utilize the tablet, some FPS and RPG's that make using the tablet fun and logical and I would change the name and advertise it so people actually know what the system is.

I would have invested more in the controller. I would have made it so that the controller had sufficient solid-state storage and processing power so that you could play virtual console games on the go, using the controller like a handheld. I also would have given it a better screen. I also wouldn't lock the online accounts to the console, but really that is a software issue rather than hardware, and it could be fixed with a patch.

I would not change it, because then i would have to buy one more console

Right now i can skip WiiU until it is 150$ and has a really good Zelda (which may never happen together)

I would drop the pointless tablet controller then drop the price for both SKU's by $150-200. After that the other problems should start to solve themselves.

So it can run next gen games. I don't think Wii U will be capable of running the games that will be released 2 or 3 years down the line. If so probably at sub HD...if it is even being supported at that point.

I would give it a bigger flash drive or HDD. Get rid of the basic SDK. Produce more games for it. Get a better battery life for the tablet and etc.Better graphics won;t improve the consoles sales guys anyway.

It could potential run crysis 3 at a resolution higher than 720P if the gamepad was removed. The same could possible apply to next gen games.

Yes, it's going to have some long, miserable droughts, but at the end of the gen, it will stand out as clearly having the best exclusive library, just like the Wii.

Crytek was testing out the WiiU's power before they canceled the WiiU  version crysis 3. They managed to make the game run at 720P and 45fps or something like that. They thought that if they were able ot turn the gamepad off the WiiU version of the game would look better.

They can't expand the RAM because there are no expansion ports and they are not going to change the name. What I would do-- 1. Introduce a pair of new one-handed motion controllers. Basically the camera would be removed from the Wii remote and the infrared light source would be put in the controllers. Two cameras would be placed on each side of the television and would track the controllers in 3D space. Both controllers would feature full motion control and the left handed wand would feature a scroll wheel in place of the d-pad and A button. 2. Launch two new packages not featuring the tablet in the fall: a) $159 package with the pro controller. b) $199 package with the new Motion^2 3. Build the Wind Waker remake, the new first person Metroid, and the new 3D Mario around the Motion^2. 4. Buy and/or build three Western developers to make up for the lack of Western software on the console.

I'd fix the three main things that I take issue with as far as the Wii U goes:

  • I'd have Nintendo use a better CPU
  • I'd launch with one SKU that includes sizeable internal storage (at LEAST 500GB)
  • I'd launch a year later to facilitate an impressive launch lineup so the thing would actually sell stronglyÂ
