How would you feel about a Halo: CE remake?

Right off the heels of Halo: Reach I though it would be cool to see the next Halo game a remake of CE. Not just a simple remake (aka Twin Snakes) but rather a complete re-telling with some added details bridging the gap between Reach, CE and Halo 2.

Also, the next Halo game will most likely be a Microsoft internal studio. I think they'll have more success with a remake than trying to fill Bungie's shoes and make an actual sequel.

This novel goes into detail on Master Chief's background as well as
his missions on a distant planet during fall of Reach.
I would be cool to see those scenarios in the remake.

First Strike tells the story between CE and Halo 2, including
Master Chief's journey back to Reach where he discovers
the last remaining spartans.

I'd be happy, very, very, happy.

I have not yet once got to play a Halo story due to no Xbox.

PC only has the first two and i need all of it.

glad I'm not the only one with that mindset.

sure. sounds good to me. if it's the full Halo CE at the core with some added goodies, I'm all for it. as I've never owned Halo CE. only played it years ago.

A simple remake of CE with Reach's gameplay mechanics is more than likely going to happen. Hell, it might happen next year since it'll be Halo's 10 year anniversary.

But you posted the wrong book. That's the old Fall of Reach and the game Reach changed most of the canon in it :P

I still own my copy of CE and original Xbox, I don't want a remake, new plot points or not. I'm an intelligent gamer, I can connect the dots between the two games myself.

It would be cool if it was a launch title for the next Xbox too~

Because there's no way Microsoft can oust Reach on this console.

I'd love to see a remake of the original Halo. It probably wouldn't be Bungie that does it though, just like the PC port. As long as 343 is is around, I'm sure it would be good.

Then how do they develop games? Not to mention Bungie were a PC developer before Microsoft bought them.

Bungie decided to not follow any of the books at all for the story. So any novel written really means nothing to the overall Halo story.

Way too early. Besides, Halo: CE holds up remarkably well (outside of presentation), remaking it would be pointless with current technology. Next gen or the gen after definately.

Although i wouldnt mind seeing the original CE come to life. The 3rd person MAC game Bungie were making.

Im definitely not interested in year after year Halo games but if 343 developed a CE remake with Reach graphics and mechanics i would support them to the end!

You don't need 2,000,000 players for a game to be considered well active especially if you have dedicated servers.
