I own the Wiiu and the 3ds so I would be happy if they did or didn't.

what's there to upset about, not like anybody else is interested in working with them,, not like consumers are going to buy their quality games for that matter
best anybody can hope for is Capcom makes them an offer to come back and make quality games for them again, unlikely though, and since nobody else is working with them nobody can really be upset if Platinum gets bought up by Nintendo
Platinum games should make their own console since everyone don't want to support them except for the dying nintndo ... lol
Quite ecstatic given how much money Nintendo is sitting on and how almost nobody else gives a shit about Platinum.
Nintendo is footing the bill for the game to be made in the first place. It willnever see the light of day on a platform Nintendo doesn't want it on. Bayonetta the brand could end up elsewhere, but that would require a different publisher, and Sega already gave up on the franchise.
Might as well just get a Wii U and suck it up, Bayonetta won't be on anything else for a very long time, especially if it is at all successful on a Nintendo platform.
I wouldn't care as long as they don't touch Mario. Mario is the only series I like or care about on the Nintendo and wouldn't want platinum games to mess it up.
I would feel more confident that purchasing the Wii U is a good decision, that's for sure. I like seeing some of the derps in the thread admitting they don't care about the games. its like they get a weird sense of pride out of avoiding Nintendo.
The only game from them that I enjoyed was Bayonetta. Everything else ranged from so-so to mediocre. With that being said, I think the likelihood of Nintendo investing any further into a company that produced a commercial bomb on their dime is unlikely. We'd sooner see a f-zero game than a new platinum game announced exclusively for Wii-U in the future.
Nintendo should absolutely buy Platinum Games. It's beneficial for both companies.
I said this right before the Wii U launched. What are you waiting for, Nintendo?
@n00bproof: i think it would be an awesome fit. Nintendo needs more adult/action games and they have the money and Platinum needs someone they can trust
I wouldn't care as long as they don't touch Mario. Mario is the only series I like or care about on the Nintendo and wouldn't want platinum games to mess it up.
Why would a dev like Platinum go anywhere near Mario? They make action games, not platformers or RPGs
The only Nintendo IPs I can imagine Platinum working on are Metroid (in an Other M style game.. except done right), Kid Icarus, and maybe Sin and Punishment. and maybe helping to improve the combat in Zelda. none of Nintendo's other IPs are good fits for Platinum.
@Sword-Demon: Some devellopers like to challenge themselves by trying something new. I'm not a fan of platinum games, I dislike every game they made and Mario is the only franchise I care about from Nintendo, well there is pokemon, but to a lesser degree.
Pretty pleased. They should pick up the Okami IP from Capcom while they're at it.
Eh. I don't see why they'd need another Zelda-eque game, given that they already have Zelda. I would rather leave Capcom with that franchise to leave the Capcom style of things on the franchise.
