What do you want proof of? That Xbox Live is $50 per year without a discount? That the 360 wi-fi adapter is around $80-$100? That the 360 doesn't come with a blu-ray drive?

Will this do as far as proof?
Now that the earlier claim has been proven, can you prove that the newer PS3's use less energy? :)

Not really.
1. The study was done in Australia. No telling how power consumption differs, if at all, with power consumption here in North America.
2. No telling how reliable that study's methods were.
3. The article was published in June of 2008, which means the study was done even earlier than that.
4. The new, current PS3s (80gb and 160gb) didn't hit the market until late summer / early fall of 2008:

That's not true. THe 360's marketing impresses me. I'm impressed that M$ got people to keep buying a defective console and actually pay for online content. I'm also impressed M$ convinced people the 360 is "cheaper" than the PS3.

I know this may come as a radical surprise to you, but wikipedia has something called sources, and the release date of a product isn't something that is as susceptible to error as an alleged study on power consumption of an electronic device.

All I asked was for you to provide proof of your claims that the PS3 consumes far less power now, which you haven't. In a debate, if you cannot prove your own point, or prove your opponent's point wrong, you lose. Simple as that.
I proved my point, however old the study is is irrlevant. Unless you can provide evidence to disprove my point or show that the study is incorrect or false, you have no leg to stand on in this argument.
Debating 101 dude. Study up next time. :)
Prove it :)if not you're just talking out of the behind.Ouch, looks like the 360 could not handle Huxley?

The onus is on me to prove PS3's current 80gb and 160gb models use lots of electricity?
Guys...he said he is an "attorney" surely he can argue better than this...all we want is some proof.
Cybiotik
You keep saying you want proof, but you won't say what you want proof of other than proof of PS3s using lots of electricity. Do you think it's the prosecutor's job to create reasonable doubt? Do you think it's the defense attorney's job to prove every element of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt?
Of course not, we're already presuming that. The onus is on you to prove the contrary, unless you concede your point.[QUOTE="lolfaqs"]The onus is on me to prove PS3's current 80gb and 160gb models use lots of electricity?agentfred
I already showed your presumption is flawed based on outdated data from a dubious source.

I'll go with you on the "outdated" part, but how, exactly, is it "dubious"?I already showed your presumption is flawed based on outdated data from a dubious source.lolfaqsAnd I wholeheartedly disagree, because this, is an awful lot more compelling than "nuh-uh".
Once again, you've made claims you can't back up, and have resorted to "well, your proof isn't proofy enough!".

That's like saying, "Your honor, the defense can't prove that his client wasn't at the scene of the crime when the murder happened." And do you think you can introduce a "study" from some unknown Australian group into court using unknown methods as proof? Sorry, but in court, you have to show studies are reliable using reliable methods before they're admissible. Similarly, I'm not even going to honor some dubious study you got with google without even showing why that study is reliable.
Dubious site? Alrighty...here are more sites claiming the same thing...

I guess the 360 couldn't handle a game like this.

Not really, because deciding what system to put a game on has more to do with business deals than hardware. This is the second game that has been canned for the 360 that I know of off the top of my head, the other being Wardevil, which is still coming on PS3.
Marvel MMO being a third...Maybe it could be though they don't think a MMO will do well on a console systemPlease Log In to post.
