I can justify the xbox live price hike

Live is arguably better than PSN; but for many people, it is not worth the extra $60.

The service has been around since, what?, 2005 and this is the first time the price has been changed? If so that is damn good. And you get what you pay for.

IMO, I think Xbox live is SO much easier to pick up and navigate as opposed to PSN. By navigate I mean ease of use capabilities.

PSN is great, but heck, Xbox live is just the king of console online services.

IMO, I think Xbox live is SO much easier to pick up and navigate as opposed to PSN. By navigate I mean ease of use capabilities.

PSN is great, but heck, Xbox live is just the king of console online services.

I pay nothing for both PSN and PC gaming online (other then ISP)and have 1000x better experience because I run accross less people like you :D

ok look at it this way, steam offers all of those same things (including super meat boy) and it has always been free. lets say next week they announce a raise in the price from $0 to $10, but nothing about the service changes. how is that justifiable?

ok look at it this way, steam offers all of those same things (including super meat boy) and it has always been free. lets say next week they announce a raise in the price from $0 to $10, but nothing about the service changes. how is that justifiable?

Seriously? The two are WAY different to me. I like the PSP dash on the PS3, but when it comes to game chat, updates, using the mic (gawd, turning on the blue tooth mic via the dashboard is SO annoying sometimes), and the PSN store can get tedious depending on what ur doing.

Live's dashboard to me is WAY more organized, easy, adn quicker.

But, then again, tahts just me. I LOVE the PS3, but I don't think PSN plus comes near to xbox live from my experiences.

The degree of the increase isn't an explanation for the increase. You're just spinning numbers to downplay the price hike - which you wouldn't have to do if the increase was justified.

Ironic how this works. M$ is turning into sony, adding things to xbl that gamers don't need and I don't see any lem complaining about it lol. They used to give the cows hell for that crap and now look how the tables have turned. M$ increased the price of xbl because of all the things they're thinking of adding to the service like cable tv.And the cows now attack ideals they used to defend lol, I love this place man.

And PSN is different. Sure its free...but the F* really cares? And PSN isn't really free anymore, because I don't see how you can say it is free when you are talking about the inferior service. Sure I don't pay anything for PSN, but from what I've read about Plus, I'm not getting half of what is now offered.

We are getting MORE than we paid for for xbox live You get a years worth of entertainment free demos Contests music videos. All for the same price as a game. It's like an mmorpg. Now if live went to about 85$. Then it wouldnt be justified 70$ aint that bad of a price. But around 80$....yeah.3DSOG

how about $300 and you get a free console and controller? and its a one time fee
