@charizard1605: No. But I like to give a game until it is released before I put forth finalized assessments.

I'm a lemming now? Are you sure?
Could have fooled me. Mods can be Lems, Cows, and Hermits or are you guys immune to suck labels.
Mods can be whatever, yeah, because they can have preferences too, they are people. I just find the lem tag for me hilarious. I have only ever owned one Xbox console, the Xbox 360. My preferences have always been more Nintendo and Sony. The Xbox One is still the only system this generation I do not have. I daresay that I own, and have owned, more PlayStation stuff than you ever have. I even have two PS Vitas and one PSTV. I'm just not a raging blind fanboy about Sony, or any company- when I feel happy, I praise them (hell, it looks like you missed the three page thread I made praising Sony and their first party not five topics below this one), and when I don't like something, I criticize them. This is not called being a lem, or sheep, or cow, or whatever other nonsense, it's called being a rational person capable of logical thought.
I stand corrected. Temporary Lemeny then like some kind or temporary mental illness. You are judging the game off of a multiplayer map from yesterday, but how quick you forget the E3 demo.
Still nope. I liked the Uncharted 4 E3 demo more, sure, but it was still just a slightly shinier version of Uncharted, and I was still underwhelmed. Uncharted 2 was legitimately a generational leap- Uncharted 4 seems to be suffering from diminishing returns.
Is your experience purely as an spectator through videos like the rest of us or do you have hands on knowledge? Me being a spectator, I'll give my honest opinion once I play a demo or the completed version.

Purely as a spectator, and hence open to change. If I play and like Uncharted 4, I will openly and willingly admit it, I have done it for plenty of games in the past. As of right now? I am not excited for it.
Personally, I was done with Uncharted after 2. I like The Last of Us much more (not to say Uncharted is bad or anything); and will be more excited to see footage of that. But yeah, franchise fatigue is real. Hell, thats why Halo 5 really doesn't excite me either. Just more of the same really. I want new franchises, more risks. Horizon: Zero Dawn and others, sparked that excitement for me again.
As with a many Sony title (Uncharted 2/3/Killzone 2/3/Shadow fall) the young people boasted boasted boasted.
Such boast....
Then, as sure as Summer moves into Autum, reality entered the fray; the boasting young people withering' an evil dispelled, vanquashed for another cycle of repetiive unyelding embarmissment.
Bitterness takes hold, PC wins again.
I am not really sure about why people love U2 so much, it was more of the same. For some reason, U2 is always held higher than U3. despite both being more of the same.
U4 is more of the same, it is not better nor worse than 2 or 3, all are the same in my opinion. What make U4 special is that the team behind TLOU is actually making it so it may actually be better than the past installments.
To be honest, I loved the UC1-3 games, but you can't really knock U4 for being much of the same, because it is an Uncharted game. I would expect an Uncharted game to share many features from past Uncharted games. That includes things like drake monologue and the types of encounters. That's part of what makes it Uncharted, and if they were to change most of that, then it would be a different game and they would likely just rebrand it.
It does look a little disappointing graphically, but i can forgive it if the story is entertaining and the battles are engaging, which is something that the short clips don't really dictate a true answer for. It may not live up to the hype, but it is likly still going to be a good game. In movie terms, think, Jurassic World vs Jurassic Park. Park was obviously better, but World was entertaining to watch still.
@charizard1605: You think UC4 doesn't look that much prettier? Lol really?
I absolutely think UC3-UC4 is not as much of a jump as UC1-UC2 was, yes, really.
I loved both singleplayer presentations shown so far. It does look one generation ahead of PS3 Uncharted games.
I was very disapointed with the multiplayer footage, tho. Same map size, same player count, 900p, even the graphics seem incredibly downgraded. And don't tell me multiplayer games doesn't look as good. Games like BF4, Battlefront and even Advanced Warfare look alot better. Let alone their scale....
@charizard1605: And are we talking about strictly graphics? Because if so you need to see an eye doctor.
We are. Sorry man, I can't say I agree. I am not saying it looks bad, it is still the best looking game of this generation so far, but it's a smaller leap than I was expecting is all.
@charizard1605: What are you expecting exactly.
The character models are massive leaps.
The environments look far better have far more destruction and physics not to mention are larger then ever before.
The animations are far better.
What were you expecting? You say it's the best looking game but the leap is small?.. There's already currently games available that show massive leaps over UC3 and they don't look as good as UC4.

I am disagreeing with you in degree here- I don't think the leaps are massive, and those other games you are mentioning, I think their improvements over Uncharted 3 are even more incremental.
considering the hate Uncharted gets here you can be sure you will never be alone about feeling underwhelmed about anything PlayStation. But it will be a completely different story when the game comes out with raving reviews, good sales and multiple awards by the end of the year. It's always the same cycle, even The Last of Us went through it when people on this forum claimed it was just Uncharted with zombies and then it blew everyone socks off. Even popular youtube channels like Teen React are to this date still playing TLOU like if the game came out yesterday. ;)
But Uncharted 4 seems to be improving in all the core areas where it was falling before. More physics, more destructible cover, branching paths, more intrinsic and bigger level design, new traversal tools and most likely better graphics, better writing, better acting... There are rumors about an underwater level and we don't even know yet which will be the supernatural elements in this game or the puzzles. I mean, what else can you expect out of a sequel? This is not Mario Bros where nothing make sense, so Nintendo can go crazy since the series don't follow any kind of continuity. And beside, what is the point of changing something so much it betrays its roots? Go make a new IP then.

People were hyped for Uncharted 2 and it looked great for a Console game too, so people loved it. When magic went away, they were "disappointed" by the third one because it had "been there done that" feeling.
But people who liked the series for what it is from the beginning, instead of using it as a fuel in forums are still excited for Uncharted 4. Not talking about Char or others who really liked first three games but now want something new, but some others. Just my opinion.
This game look great, but the Lem in you just hate it.
I'm a lemming now? Are you sure?
Could have fooled me. Mods can be Lems, Cows, and Hermits or are you guys immune to such labels.
Yeah any critcism anyone has of the Playstation or it's games, you're automatically a "lem" in here.
I'm not underwhelmed. I'm also not the kind to hype a game. But, the game and the gameplay looks fine to me. I liked all three UC games on the PS3 although they fall in the "one play-through and that's it" category. UC4 may well be the game that makes me buy a PS4.
I like exploring and the grinding that comes with it. So, if UC4 turns out to be more UC in a more spacious world, that's fine with me. Look what happened to the Crysis games. Crytek changed the game too much and everybody hated the sequels. If ND did the same, then the haters would be doing the same.
There is no pleasing everybody. So, it's better to please those who liked the core gameplay of the previous games.
I'm impressed, I love the series though. I also love 3rd person action/adventure games. This game was made for me in mind, as well as Tomb Raider, Just Cause, GTA, ect. I know the previous 2 games are open world, but it doesn't matter, I love them all.
I'll be buying the most expensive CE they offer day 1.
It isn't pivotal in the success of the PlayStation 4 that people have their nose up Naughty Dog's ass anymore, now like people needed for the PS3 hyping some pretty mediocre games, hence the hype now is kind of meh, Sony is beating Microsoft effortlessly with their hands behind their back. Xbox can hypothetically deliver stunning games all throughout the rest of the gen and will never catch up to the PS4 and its without the same dedication by fans to sell their games like cows can... that being said, I was never a big Naughty Dog fan with Uncharted, but I'm willing to give Last of Us a try just waiting to get it on PS4 to play it in its definitive form, but what I've seen of Uncharted 4 so far on PS4 has me thinking if Naughty Dog made a legit demo for the SP reveal that it could be quite fun. I always thought that despite the high productions values, exceptional voice acting and motion capture, that as shooters the PS3 trilogy was kind of lousy and not very satisfying as such. But what I saw of the Uncharted 4 trailer leaves me to believe it might be able to actually pull off a respectable shooter for once. Maybe no Max Payne 3 good but good nonetheless. Depends how destructible they go with those environments, and give us some cool physics. I'll take a 900p/60fps PS4 game something like that. Anyhow, thinking of how bad I want Persona 5 kind of makes everything else suck by comparison. I can sympathize with that, sorta.
What can you expect from the 4th installment of a series?
Its gonna be another fun filled action packed adventure like all the previous games and that is good enough for me.
I don't expect huge gameplay innovations in this series. Sometimes not messing with a good thing is the right approach.
Far too soon to make any kind of judgement call on Uncharted ... I will say all I've seen so far of the game is the very first showing, the gameplay shown at E3 press conference, and that multiplayer trailer. I'm not sure what else is floating around but I'm keeping myself in the dark and hoping for the best. This is ND we're talking about so I'm not too concerned with U4.
