Turn our backs on Sony? Sorry not everyone are company fanboys. Most buy a console to play games not because of the maker. Game fanboys are bad but company fanboys are just sad. Try buying the console that gives you the games you want but do not buy a console just because of the brand name. If that is PS3 or 360 or whatever. The whole idea is to play games you enjoy playing to have a good time not try to support some company.

Why would american citizens, buy a foreign product and support a foreign economy, instead of supporting our own economy and supporting MS who made the largest charitable contributions in history. Wouldnt it be better to not turn your back on America then to Sony? Its far better proposition to buy american... and definately when its the superior product. The japanese think that way.Bdking57
right on.

so in other words even though they dont have games that appeal to me much i should blindly support sony.

Yes you should. Because the popular myths are:

Everyone is waiting for a price drop before the world rushes out to get a PS3.

Everyone who had a PS2 will get a PS3...

i do own a ps3, but i only havee 2 games for it. sigma since im a huge ninja gaiden fan(have all 3 versions) and resistance(gift from a friend). only time i use my ps3 is playing ps2 games. im not going to bash the ps3 games, but they dont have games i appeals to me. the main reason why i get the 360 version for multi-plat games is so i can play with ppl on my friends list.

Typical fanboyism. You basically state that PS1 and PS2 were good, so we should buy PS3. However, i do agree that its a bit too early to say that PS3 is over. I'd give it another year to see how it shapes up.

I have a PS3 and am very very pleased with what it can do now and in the future. Also as for american loyalty, NEWS FLASH Microsoft uses the lowest bidder to manufacture any of there hardware/products and I wouldn't be surprised if most of these products are manufatured in third world counties using slave labor. Hence the low end quality product.
