MGS original theme is even better, few songs match its epicness, Star wars has one very good soundtrack too, uncharted 2 is really good

Eh it's not as popular in NA (not sure about other regions outside Asia), and I don't find the music memorable.

I love when I turn on Final Fantasy and the title music comes on, I just listen to this music for a few minutes before I start.

Oh heck yes! What a nostalgic trip it was and what a way to start off the game.

In Zanarkand is still my favorite video game song. I am a big fan of simplicity.

the ending theme of MGS was one of the best soundtracks in the series, the end of MGS saga( part of MGS4 soundtrack) is closely behind, and this comes on third, BUT they just can't top FFX themes, especially the ending theme ( while Tidus was dissapearing).

In terms of sad songs, my favorites are:

Memory - Rap Mix - Younha ft. Tablo

Memorial Address - Ayumi Hamasaki

Sakura Drops - Utada Hikaru
