Show me a ps3 game that has High-res textures or is it too much for 256MB VRAM?PC_X360
MGS 4 looks better then any 360 game and you have to look very hard to find a blurry texture once in a while there is one here and there but nothing major.

Compared to the PS3 the 360 has the best textures almost as good as the PC.
I was proving how stupid his statement was. I wasn't actually serious. I haven't side by side compared lol. Uncharted has more color but MGS 4 has way better graphics. PS3 > 360 in terms of graphics.

Yep so do countless other games: Far Cry 2, Heavy Rain, and most likely God of War III.
Uncharted.

That's what I don't understand this game is what a year old and no PS3 game since has had texture work like this...I think GG games should hand off development to ND.
Show me a ps3 game that has High-res textures or is it too much for 256MB VRAM?PC_X360Guess someone forgot to tell you that the 360 has 256 mb of vram too? wow, just wow
According to Lemmings the 360 hasnt had a game match Gears visuals, it's been 2 yearsThat's what I don't understand this game is what a year old and no PS3 game since has had texture work like this...I think GG games should hand off development to ND.

PS3 has a traditional fixed amount of memory split between Ram and Vram; while 360 has a single 512mb split between both.
Having shared memory enables the 360 to sacrifice ram for more vram and vice versa, so a scene can have decent textures by sacrificing the amount of a level that can be loaded at any one time for example. With dedicated amounts PS3 cannot distribute resources as efficiently as 360, which can result in a situation were ram is left unused while texture quality suffers because vram hit its 256mb limit.
However due to the much higher speed of PS3 ram; PS3 can run smoothly in scenes were 360 suffers from loading stutter. PS3 will always have 256mb dedicated to vram, leading to situations were PS3 textures could be better than 360 if it sacrifices memory for other requirements.
Both systems have their pros and cons, it is easy to focus on the negatives of one system and declare superiority; all while ignoring the limitations of your system.

I believe a lot of developers should get some pointers from Naughty Dog. They should use the Uncharted engine for PS3 games kind of like the 360 games uses the Unreal engine for many games which the 360 renders quite well I must say.
