Is it for the so called cinematic experience?
4k is nice and all but how can you enjoy the gameplay when a game performs badly and even dips into the 20's? That's like a slide show for me.
You talk about 30 frames and then subtly add in dips into the 20's...fool...lol
That's how it goes a lot of times though, console games rarely stay locked at their target framerate.
I didn't seem to have any problem playing the Uncharted games on the PS3. Seemed smooth enough. Killzone 2 and 3 both lagged pretty bad in some spots though.
I completely agree and this is the thing that console gamers are not realizing lol. Almost all the Xbox one x games are gonna run in 30fps lol. Amazing how consoles run the same frame rate as the ps1 days. 1080 or 1440 at 60fps is better than 4k at 30fps.
If it saves me from buggy drivers, bullshit ini editing, and OS updates that break things, I'll take 30fps on a console all damned day over trying to game on a PC.
Yeah because OS updates and buggy games never happen on cons..... ohhhhhhhhh, waiiiit.... ??
Well if they had a choice....
I hope more console devs start taking the route that Team Ninja took with Nioh. I don't expect console games to ever have a full list of graphics options, but being able to choose between a performance mode and a pretty pictures mode was a nice feature.

This... both platforms have their pros and cons.
@Jebus213: As opposed to what? PC gaming is cool. But most PC gamers can't run games 1080p 60FPS at ultra. At least not the current games. Plus playing with cheaters every day none stop, continuously spending time running benchmarks and optimizing settings to get the game running to your preferences. On console you get just as good gaming experience with better multiplayer services and a even playing field.

This must be a meme.
@jdc6305: you played Bayo on PS3? My condolences.
Yeah I did play it on PS3 and it was better then not playing it at all. It was a buggy mess but they patched it within a day or two. It had some framerate drops and some minor screen tearing but over all I still enjoyed it. I still have my PS3 copy along with my WiiU copy and Xbox. I own it on all 3 platforms.
@jdc6305: I couldn't stand PS3 version. Playing a game like that in 60fps is a sin. Had to buy XBOX version after.
I didn't have a Xbox at the time because of the RROD issues. I bought the game day one and I still liked it. It didn't run that bad on my PS3 after the patch. My cousin got the platinum for it on PS3. Fallout 3 and Skyrim were worse on PS3. Everything esle ran well. What the PS3 lacked it made up for in exclusives. Demon Souls Uncharted God of War Heavenly Sword all ran fine. I have 130 games for the PS3. The reliability is why I chose the PS3. What good are games if your system is broke?
I play Nintendo and Sony exclusives. I could care less about games on PC. 60 FPS isn't a deal breaker for me. PC just got Vanquish and Bayonetta I played them 5 years ago. I don't ooh and ahh over textures or frame rates.
And you played them both at 30 fps. Lol
Besides, what does this have to do with anything? Consoles are just getting Cities: Skylines, and that's been out on PC forever.

What is Cities Skylines? never heard of it.

I don't experience any of this. How incompetent are you?
