[QUOTE="The_Brodeo"]Why don't you take 3/4 of all the money you have to your name and burn it in a dumpster? The lack of basic business knowledge in here is embarrasing. Sony would love to give PS3's away if it meant more money for them, but that is not reality nor is cutting ther own throats to move a few more consoles.Too true. These companies don't care about this race as much as we think they do. It's the bottom line that matters. And Sony's is in the red right now so a price cut is stupid. Getting more consoles out there would make some sense if there was a fee for PSN to recoup some loss. But most Sony fans would cry.[QUOTE="Norule04"]
First they remove ps2 backwards compatibility for the ps3 while still keeping the price pretty high. And now after almost 4 years they are still ast expensive as a Wii and 360 put together. Seriously drop the price and i'll be one of your first buyers..
anyone else really upset they didn't even consider a price drop at e3?

I don't think you people understand, consoles are meant to be sold at a loss. The purpose of consoles is to create a massive installed base so that SOFTWARE sales get a boost, that's where the real money is. It's called investment.
